Scammers such as “Natasha” (not the scammers real name) use MySecureHookUp.net and other sites like it to defraud 1000s of men who respond to CraigsList personal ads. These sites disguise themselves as “verification” services and tell you that you need to enter your credit card number into the form on the site to get verified, then you can meet “Natasha” in person. It’s a complete fraud.
This is a business to these fraudsters and this is how they make their living every single day. Many of these scammers host these web sites offshore in countries such as Panama and buy the domain name with shady domain registrars like Internet.bs, leaving them hard to shutdown.
