Bit.ly Spam Links Redirecting CL Dating Users To RudeFinder.com

Bit.ly is a popular url shortening service that is used usually for Twitter links, but spammers have been using Bit.ly to disguise their spam links in emails they send to CraigsList personal ads users. The email below was sent to me and redirects people to RudeFinder.com. Anytime you receive bit.ly links in emailes you get from CraigsList ads then it’s going to be spam so watch out. Something to note is that Bit.ly and RuderFinder.com are NOT responsible for these scams, it is 3rd party online marketing companies who are doing all the spamming. Read the full report below.

  1. Is there any way to stop getting these bit.ly spam messages? I've been getting several each day lately, all claiming I signed up for some website I've never even heard of. Today I got one for some website called Galactosemia, and a link to a male-oriented adult site was in it, which I find annoying, as I am female, not male, and have no interest in male-oriented adult sites.
