PredatorsWatch.com Is A Site That BlackMails CraigsList Users

Today I received probably the lowest scam through CraigsList to date. I responded to a few ads yesterday using a photo of myself. I got an email this morning from PredatorsWatch.com, previous scams from these a-holes include PotentialPredators.com and TheOnline-Watch.com. In the email they tell me that I have been added to their “online predator watch list”. Obviously I am not a sex predator, so what’s this all about? Well apparently I can get my predator profile deleted off of PredatorsWatch.com for a one time fee of $99.95. So what this boils down to is extortion and fraud. Any innocent guy who responds to CraigsList personal ads and sends a photo of themselves in the email can become a victim of this disgusting scam. As soon as they have your photo, email address and your name then you are basically screwed. If you go to get a job and the employer does a Google search for your name, then this crap may show up on the first page of Google search results. This is a very disturbing scam, and can really hurt normal people for no reason! PredatorsWatch.com will post info on anyone from CraigsList.com, so they can blackmail them into paying $99.95 to have their info taken off of the predator watch list. Read the full report below.

  1. What do you do to get rid of all of this??? I’ve responded to a few ads on Craigslist and it looks like they got to me. I don’t want this to follow me around. What can i do to get rid of this???

    1. Can someone help me?? My husbands name is on there.. How do we remove it before my kids find this sh**.. I am not going to give them any money. I did write down all of the info I found so I will start there. Does anyone have a number for this site? And how did he get on this site in the first place? Help

      1. My Google+ account information was used. I’m still waiting for a response from Google explaining what they are going to do about my Google+ profile being advertised as smut.

    2. I have also had that happen to me twice. I posted on craiglist and replied to a few ads BUT…I never use my personal email address. Always used a secondary (free) email for dating/women search type websites. Because I did that, my pic shows up on that scam site but no name is linked to the picture other than the free email address which is something like tree-lover or whatever. I think that scam company posts fake email to lure you in and when you send your pict, then you never hear from the fake person again but they have your pict and email address to try and scam you out of your money.

    1. Good! Please tell us how it goes, I would love to know what happens and if they start an investigation into this blackmail site. Good luck!

      1. Dear admin,

Have you received any follow-up from IC3 (et al) regarding your complaint?

Do you know if any legal action is being taken? If so, can you please post the email and or follow-up information you have so that complaints may be directed to the most concerned party?

        Thanks.

  2. I just filed a complaint to the actual Top Name Reg
see below for the abuse to email address.

    Paula Young 8:25:50 AM

Hello mike, my name is Paula Young,

Okay, please send in your abuse report to [email protected] along with supporting evidence, so that they will check into this.

  3. As i see t6he registrar is enom not Internet.bs. I contacted them and they told me to contact Enom. They gave me this as evidence they are not the registrar:
    Domain Name: PREDATORSWATCH.COM
    Registrar: ENOM, INC.

    1. You People could just stay the hell off craigslist. These MEN landing on this site are predators in every sense, trolling for pussy on cl and most of them are downright assholes. If your husbands name is on this site, DIIVORCE THE PIG.. he is trolling pussy on cl .. These men fail to mention they are answering personals ads from women.

        1. Assholes? Predators? Pigs? Hold on a second. Yes I was answering an advert but I am a single male and I can do what I want with another adult and it is none of your business.

Sorry if a man did you wrong but dont make stupid blanket comments when you dont even know.. Sorry about your luck.

          1. Haha, bitter bitches trolling on the datingjudge. Have fun with your house of cats, you judgmental prude.

  4. As a followup, I also sent an email to Enom’s legal department advising them I intend to file a lawsuit against them as well, since they have been previously advised of the websites illegal activities and have failed to take action!

      1. Tammy,

Why are you so hateful? Maybe some of these guys are single and just looking for a woman. This thread is not your personal forum for venting your dislike to men in general. Take your hate elsewhere and keep this topic on focus, not your personal rant about hating men.

The website is now showing a database error and no longer appears to be working. Yeah!

      2. Only 2 reasons you would even be on here Tammy. Either some dud fucked you over and you cant own up to the fact that it is atleast half your fault (reasonable assumption) or your just a bitter sad troll.

Stop judging people. This is a legitimate concern. If people want to go on CL, its none of your business because you don’t know why they are going there. Some people want pussy, yes, some people maybe are just lonely. Surely, based upon your remarks, you can understand this one… So lighten up.

  5. I responded to them below and included Enom in the email as well:

I intend to file a lawsuit against Enom, unless my information and profile gets removed from this website!

    Dear Der Kaiser ,

Your details have been added to our online predator watch list. Please click the following URL to review the details.

  6. Well i called enom inc. They can not take the site off line there legal department will not do anything with out a court order. Because the site is not ran by the but the do host it if u want to call 425-274-4500.

    1. You can talk to the loser owner himself, Michael King at 305-610-3581. It will be a waste of time but you can still tell him what a loser he is and know you spoke to him before he ends up in prison, which is bound to happen. Tick tock tick tock, you can’t run scams forever it is just a matter of time.

        1. Nice try MICHAEL KING. Folks don’t be fooled, warningnotice.com is a FAKE and is ALSO owned by Michael King. There is no Archie whoever the f*** Richardson and if there is he is not the owner of predatorswatch.com, it is Michael King in Florida. It is nobody foreign, it is not somebody named Archie, it is MICHAEL KING in FLORIDA.

  7. Hey. I’ve just been caught in predators watch’s scam. I can’t have this follow me cuz I’m trying to get a second job and I was just trying to meet people. How can I fix this? This was on craigslist. Btw.

  8. First of all, never use a real name or a real gmail account when responding to craigslist. That way if they steal a picture, they don’t have your real name.

  9. Looks like site might be down… wohoo.. tried going to it… I got caught up in it like few days ago… I filed with IC3 the DOJ and google….

      1. How long will it stay down? And if the servers did not get ceased…. Will this creep make another site with our pictures?

    1. To all of you whom believe the site is down.. I believe that is incorrect.. Based on the dates of your messages an to the fact that I while at work received an email.. An checked it on my phone.. This email stated I am a predator etc. The site is called predator watch.. An yes just like all of you I replied to an add on Craigslist.. So far all I’ve been able to do is send every available contact an email notifying I will be seeking council an persuing a lawsuit against there company/ website an affiliates..

  10. I was scammed by predatorswatch.com a couple of days ago and I put the legal and moral pressures on all involved. I took the following steps to stop this and you can now all thank me. The site is now officially gone. You’re welcome.

    (1) Filed a complaint with my State’s Attorney General. I understand multiple complaints have already been filed against this domain owner.
    (2) Filed a report with the FBI’s IC3 division. I understand multiple reports have been filed with them already.
    (3) Filed a report with Interpol (European version of FBI). I understand several reports have been submitted against them already.
    (4) Sent emails to the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce Sweden). Others have already done this.
    (5) Sent emails to the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce about this incident.
    (6) Send an email to their domain hosters who finally took action and had this site shut down. Did not offer any email back or appologies but it’s officially GONE!

  11. Look closer online and you will see the real owner is MICHAEL KING, and he is in FLORIDA. Additional searching will reveal that his PHONE NUMBER is 305-610-3581. You’re welcome!

  12. If you search Enom.com you’ll see that they also host alot of other sites that have a craigslist connection… Basically those scam sites you receive in the spam emails. Seems like they are in on it…

    1. tell the true owner scamming scumbag Michael King in Florida what you think about his fraudulent sites. His phone number is 305-610-3581

  13. same deal, caught through craigslist. Filed a report through the link shown

Does anyone have any idea when this will be taken down and when this guy will go to jail?

From the comment’s dates it seem that this is a pretty new site.

How fast do American courts act on things like this or is this going to be a lengthy thing?

    1. It is not Archie, Micheal King is putting that info out about Archie because Archie was the one that busted him out, but c’est la vie.

  14. Well folks I tried. I’m so pissed. This loser scumbag needs to be stopped in his tracks!!! It went offline for a couple of days but now its back! What can we do? Damn extortion!

  15. Spoke with Michael King (305-610-3581), he is NOT the owner of the site and he is assisting in the shutdown of the predatorswatch.com scam.
Check out http://warning-notice.com/ to submit a claim. You can also contact local authorities, DOJ, FBI-IC3, and godaddy. The website is hosted internationally so theres some red tape for a lot of USA based victims.

    1. Micheal IS the owner, why would a foreign claim American legal privilege? Long sotry short Micheal King owns warning-notice as well.

  16. What steps are being taken to shutdown this site? The people putting this together are total slimes! I am a US victim and have done what I believe I can do, but it’s evidently not enough to put a permanent stop to this site. What a loser way to spend your time smearing innocent people’s reputations on the internet for extortion and blackmail. This needs to stop!!!

  17. This site is still adding people from craigslist today..

I just got added..I may like casual encounters but Im certainly no predator!

    1. They added me to this website and its complete bullshit -_- i send one person a picture of myself and suddenly I’m a sexual predator. AWESOME. Fuck this, I need this shit removed because I’m seeking employment and this shit isn’t going to go well.

  18. i answered some posts on craigslist and shortly thereafter got an email from predatorwatch.com saying , i had been reported to them and i would show up as a predator to whoever searched my name thru google or any search engine. they also offer a conveinient removal of your name for 100.00$ , which i did. their site also says, go ahead, sue us, you will lose. what a total scam. i got scammed.

    1. Wow! You should have never paid them anything because
      1) even though you pay, they say in their fine print FAQ that your info will still show up and the same person/people (them) can repost your info again etc. etc. So you pay and nothing happens

  20. I suggest posting pics and info of people in a position to shut down the web site on the site it self. Those people involved with internet regulation with in the U.S. They don’t want to do anything because it’s not affecting them, but what if it was.

  21. Hey,
If you own the copyright to the photo – which you do if you took it yourself – then you can file a DMCA takedown notice with the web host. That makes them liable for damages if the photo stays up, so enom will have to get off its a** and do something about it. That doesn’t get the site offline, but it does get the picture off the site. That and not using your real name until you meet someone in person – and in a public place – is the best way to go. No court order required, just an email in the appropriate format. Make sure you send a complete takedown notice – google is your friend – and get screenshots before and after in case there’s a dispute later.

In general, suing the web hosting company for defamation, libel, whatever of the person owning the content isn’t going to work, and their lawyers aren’t going to take you seriously if you threaten them, but suing them for copyright infringement is a valid and valuable tool. The safe harbor the web hosting company has only lasts until they know they’re infringing your copyright.

Also might want to consider the copyright infringement angle against the site owner. Makes if a federal case, and takes Florida out of the loop, and if enough people go after him on it, he’ll be crushed under the weight of the potential penalties.

    Good luck..

    1. Hey im wondering how to do this with a bit more detail my pic is on this site and is obviousily taken by me this really bothers me and I was wondering how to do this

    2. Damn good catch. I never even thought about sending them a DCMA take down notice. It would all be totally legal too! Since I took the pictures of myself, I own the copyright to those photos! At least the entertainment industries legal antics are good for something!

  22. Everyone find some pictures of Obama, any congressman or senator and start answering every posting on CL. Anyone actually getting a picture posted on predatorswatch.com then forward the link to the FBI, the representitive and any other judicial body. I will bet the site and owner will be gone shortly.

    1. I doubt you have to send these photos to a bunch of craigslist ads. Doesn’t this site allow anyone to post anything up there? Just post the photos yourself.

    2. I had the same idea..list some congressman’s official emails and a picture from the net..it is anonymous anyway, and they would never suspect who is the guy..now 30 of this listings , those congressional guys will get the warning emails from Predators..the site will be shot down in 1 hour of times…i am for it fellas…

  23. I mean think about it, if CBS or FOX gets a tip that a senator from state “X” is on a sexual predator site, what do you think is going to happen? All hell will break loose and some people with power are going to take an interest in the asshole that owns this site.

  24. I received an email asking if “this is you” and a link to a page with me on it. I was just trying to hook up one night and now I’m scared of this crap. Luckily I wasn’t on a basic search for my name, but major action needs to be taken against this site, and soon!

  25. They posted a pic of my body but not my face, they put down my email (I never use it for professional purposes anyway, and will probably be switching to a new one after this), and they completely got my location wrong.

    I got lucky lol

It’s a lesson learned though, I reported to IC3 immediately after I read this page.

I pity those whom suffered the same fate as I. It’ll be taken down, it’s only a matter of time.

And in all honesty, In my personal opinion, any ’employer’ whom is idiotic enough to use a website like that as a legitimate screening for their future employees deserves to lose out on an honest worker. (And is also not worth YOUR time ;] )

Employers use REAL background check engines on people, not faggot 3rd party websites lol So I really don’t think anyone’s got anything to worry about.

Also, I googled my name and email several times and nothing came up. Poor scammers, they lose and will be forever alone :'(

Sayanora, also thanks to the admin for this site, you’re helping a lot of people. Keep up the good work.

    Peace.

  27. Don’t forget Michael King’s phone number is 305-610-3581. Tell him what a piece of **** he is so at least you know you were able to let him know what you think, before he eventually gets dragged away to prison.

  28. Someone in another thread suggested doing a dmca takedown with google so at least the search link will get removed and I did that and google just responded that they’ll not remove it and told me to pursue the webmaster themselves. Totally useless! I’ll try the other suggestion of going sending the dmca takedown to the hosting provider, maybe I’ll have better luck there.

  29. Where is the Anonymous when you need those guys and girls. They should make the life of the person doing this a living hell. Actions like this make the internet not worth using and ruin it for everyone.

  30. Pretty scary right?!! DO YOUR IWN SEARCH OF YOUR NAME. THEN YOUR NAME WITH THE WORD PREDATOR AND SO ON. ITS BS. NOT TRUE. FAKE. FRAUD. SOLUTIONS ARE EVERYWHERE – PROBLEMS ONLY OCCUR WHEN WE REFUSE TO FIND THEM. – Quote me on that, bitches jmp

I read the same email about being a predator and thought I was screwed- not to mention completely embarrassed and I picture my friends looking me up for a class reunion and finding this heinous lie about me… Well as soon as the “convenient” pay to protect yourself and remove your name page came up…. Yeah it’s clear it’s a scam. (Not that you let yourself believe it due to the severity of the ramifications.)
So at that point I immediately began finding out how to report this fraud (if that is what this was- hey, allegations aren’t really fraud if someone WAS bothered by me… I had to clear me name either way) and CERTAINLY extortion… As I was compiling numbers and tryin to determine which ones were most effective and appropriate it occurred to me this may not be an easy fight and even when cleared this false allegation could remain active and haunt me -soooooo…… I did a search. I have a VERY unique last name so that helped, but when I did the searches there was NOTHING online speaking badly about me. So I then thought- if this were a scam and not legitimate then there should be other victims as upset and outraged as I am… And sure enough – here we are.

    1. Who is Archie Garga-Richardson? And why is Warning-Notice.com calling TheDatingJudge.com a scam lol. Are you retarded? TheDatingJudge.com is exposing scumbags such as the PredatorsWatch.com. The DatingJudge.com is NOT a scam, wake up! You are the one posting false info.

      1. Archie Garga-Richardson is a fake name made up by MICHAEL KING, who OWNS warning-notice.com (Don’t bother thinking anything from that site is true) as well as Predatorswatch.com . Michael King is a ****ing LOSER and extortionist and warning-notice.com is a FAKE. MICHAEL KING at 305-610-3581 is the scumbag behind predatorswatch.com and many other sites. F*** you Mike… And to everyone else… STOP paying money on predatorswatch.com to remove your name and picture. This site will go down soon enough, but anyone of any importance looking into this for anything legit such as a job to offer to you will quickly enough realize it is a fake extortionist site. It is not going to get you kicked out of the military, or not enable you to get a job. DONT give this idiot your money!!!!

      2. ok answere this wise guy if people was really convicted of something then why would the law blackmail us for money shouldnt we be charged in court instead

  31. Guys, do not worry about this site. It’s such a scam, the scammer did not even put much effort into the site. Think about it, have you heard of predatorswatch.com in the mainstream media, or anytime before the email? No. Do a search of your name on google, or yahoo, and I doubt your predators watch profile will turn up.
If the site was serious, it would list the activities that you did to be listed as a “predator”.
Do not get stressed out. Report the site, file a complaint, but do NOT pay any money!

  32. This site hit me today, although my photo on it is blurry and I don’t have my name attached to my email, nor is it the email I use for everything else. I deleted that email just in case. I’m not too worried about anything regarding me because of those facts, but I hope this site is dealt with. This is the lowest of low scams.

  33. Hey all, just figured I’d drop this comment here: don’t visit the site! The more traffic it gets, the more likely it will be to come up in a search. Don’t give the site clicks or pageviews. I’m not overly worried about me being on there, but I’m definitely not thrilled about it and I would be much happier if it was taken down. In the meantime, don’t give it any traffic that could boost its own ranking on google!

  34. I am very upset and from reading others comments I am not alone.I posted a clock for sale on craigslist and got back emails with ladies wanting to meet me and they sent photos.I did check out the photos and the link but knew it was spam so I just deleted it.Next thing I know I am receiving a email from a site called predatorwatch.com with my photo. As I have read above comments nobody seems to know how to actually get rid of this site or the profile on the site.If anyone has knowledge of what to do please share as I don’t want people thinking I am some kind of criminal or threat.I am not about to try and pay the site because I know it is a scam.

      1. nowhere what we have to focus on is the “How” part. Lets just say for the sake of argument that we are all guilty of looking for nothing but sexual encounters on the internet. As long as it is with a legal age woman and that was your intententions for mutual exchange last time I checked there was no law for that. My story is I admit to making some inquiries on craigslist- what a fool, but it was a while ago and I do know how they got my picture. They found an old army picture I took while I was in Korea. I didn’t even have this pic in any of my new files. So how did one get a hold of that?

        1. “Lets just say for the sake of argument that we are all guilty of looking for nothing but sexual encounters on the internet. As long as it is with a legal age woman and that was your intentions for mutual exchange last time I checked there was no law for that.”

Then why didn’t you just say that? If I ever got put up there I’d just tell people: ‘Hey trying to get some pussy isn’t illegal. If you don’t agree with my lifestyle then fuck off.’

  35. I recommend calling Anonymous for this. For those who dont know who they are, they basically an army of good guys

Their website is 4chan.. Then go into the random forum. You dont need to sign up or anything. Just post and maybe a couple of anons will see, get mad, and then ruin Mikes life for a couple of weeks/months.. All legal too.

    1. how did that go? has your profile resurfaced? have they attacked your bank account with the information you provided to pay? i’m looking for a new job and think this is a hindrance and am considering to pay the bullshit scam fee if it will just put this all behind me. but not if it’s not going to make it go away.

  36. I just got an email with same info and i’m pissed off and want to nail these guys. I answered an ad on craigslist and then today got an email saying i was on http://www.predatorswatch.com list and i’m sure no predator. I was just looking for a casual hookup like others were. This guy is total scum and hope something gets done soon and nails this guy. I want to file a complaint with ic3 but not sure what to write in the complaint.

  37. Wow this is really bad because I made a fake name for my CL response email and it turns out that is someone else’s real name. Now they could be innocently prosecuted or held accountable. I hope someone takes care of this for everyone’s sake because I know lots of people make fake names just for this reason.

  38. EVERYONE, I was victimized too. What we need to do is contact the FCC- Federal Trade Commission. I tried but they told me they will only do something if LOTS of us complained.

    Here is their number- 877 382 4357

Everyone call and make complaints with them till something is DONE about it

    1. I just got off the phone withe Federal Trade Commission and the person who posted about calling them is correct. They said the more calls they get about this site, the better opportunity you will have.

        1. To all who seek a solution: Yes, call the FTC and file a complaint. Eventually they will handle the problem. Google has proven to be ineffective with providing any protection against those whose names are being libeled. Shutting down the source is the only solution.

    2. dude thanks i called that number and im going to file a report on ic3.gov as well i hope this guy rots in jail what a looser

  39. im a united states navy sailor i just got back from a 7 month deployment 2 months ago and im getting ready to deploy for a second time in less than 2 months this web sight can get me kicked out of the navy i cannot belive this shit i defend this country and this is the thanks i get complete bull shit its a good thing i have free and great legle counsle

    1. No you wont. Its not a legal site. the military isn’t using this site to look you up. they use actual legal paperwork. Trust me, I work in JAG.

  40. I’m a United States Air Force Trainee and all I was doing was attempting to find people to spend my last month in town with and possibly a pen pal. This website can ruin my entire military future. We need to get as many people as possible calling the FCC

    877 382 4357

Don’t waste time calling Mike or Archie, make your call count. This is ridiculous and lowly.

  41. Google how to send a complaint to your local state attorneys office. I have done this already and have done it in the past they are very good at closing this stuff down.

  42. Help me I want to know how my husband’s pic got on this site? Can some one tell me please. And how do we get this sh** down. And I am going to call all of the number I got. Can someone respond back to me so I know how all of this happened

    1. Basically how it append is the he probably responded to a Craigslist ad for some company.

You can try contacting attorney general, IC3. but I doubt much will happen as the site is hosted outside of the united states. But hopefully with pressure to the domain registrar, the will de-list it. but then the scum that own the site will just re-register with another company, probably outside the united states.

You can pay the money, and hope that it isn’t a monthly re-occurring charge like I am.

  43. Found myself listed on this POS site by googling my email address. Fortunately it is an email address that is not known to people, and only has my first name. Googling my full name does not show this at all.

I paid to have it removed. They removed it. But of course it still shows up in the seach on google search results. And I can see the Cached version with my first name. I am trying the Google tool to removed cached sites to see if that will remove it from their cached views. We shall see…

    1. So far, I have managed to get 2 of the three cached pages removed via googles url removal tool. It is pretty easy.

However, it doesn’t clear up that I can search based on email address and still get results for the sites. but at least they are dead links. Waiting to see how long it takes for those to go away.

One other thing I figured out, even after the site claims to have removed your information. The picture is on their servers and is reachable. This may be the point where DCMA request may help. However, The site is hosted over seas, along with the name servers. So I doubt they will be too willing to comply.

        1. google indexes and deindexes sites periodically, when i had mine removed it was taken down from the site and still listed on google, a couple of days later google removed the listing as well. google doesn’t list/delist the pages instantly unfortunately

  44. Woke up this morning and found my picture along with my bogus email on this fucking site. I’ve Bennett fuming over this and really want this guy taken care of. I did do a search and found that my name did not pop up from this site. Just the usual stuff. Still makes me mad. He basically stole my picture and put it on another site.

  45. Yeah, woke up this morning to that interesting email. F*&(ers tagged me. I’m pretty sure what they are doing is posting ads on Craigslist to entice people to respond and then placing their information on the site. How did I come to this assumption? I responded to ONE ad lastnight! So, I can almost guarantee that’s what they are doing. Anyhow, other than my pic being up, I used a bogus name and email so I’m not too worried about someone finding out. Either way, the people running this site are scumbags. The probably have a boiler room full of people posting ads on craigslist and then posting information on their site so that they can blackmail them. They’ll get their’s though. Hopefully the FTC walks in one day with the FBI and locks them all up.

Wait, there’s an idea, has anyone thought of contacting the FBI’s field office in Miami and telling them that they were scammed and blackmailed by a company operating in Miami? Hmmm, I might have to look into that.

  46. People, please report the site here >

ow Your Information Will Be Handled

The information contained in your complaint will be entered into Consumer Sentinel, a consumer complaint database maintained by the U. S. Federal Trade Commission. Your complaint will be accessible to certified government law enforcement and regulatory agencies in ICPEN-member countries. Government agencies may use this information to investigate suspect companies and individuals, uncover new scams, and spot trends in fraud.

    https://econsumer.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

I even has an area on the form to where you put how much money they ask from you to remove your listing from their site

  47. My name and pic are on there web Site. I have tried to contact them to take it off but they don’t even reply.

They only want you to reply with $99.95

I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission. 1877 382 4357. I filed a report by telephone and filed out the on line complaint form.

    I also filed with IC3!!

I have also tried Support.google.com and follow the instructions to delete the pages.

I did that a few hour ago. So am waiting to see if that works.

This is the lowest of the low scam putting people on a bogus SEX OFFENDERS web site. this guy is a parasite on humanity!!

  48. I’m from Canada and I got this shit, any idea how to fo about taking this down or at least getting my picture down due to copyright. Any help would be appreciated

  49. we can try to get anonymous from 4chan to try doing a DDoS attack on the site and then have them try and wipe everything but anonymous will only help if we show that it has affected lots of us

  50. Wanted to mention that I was scammed via Craigslist but NOT through the personals section.

scammed via the “Artists” / “Jobs-Arts” section, and it was not my photo that was added but a picture of one of my Art works.

These people are posting fake ads in other sections too! Freelance / Arts classifieds are similar, instead of pics of ourselves we show samples of our works or a link to an online portfolio.

That has to be copy-right violation at least!! It’s my original art work.

I am in Canada – reporting to all the links suggested by other posters here (Thank you for the tips!), and a few of the Canadian Agencies.
    Ontario Attorney General’s Office
RCMP ( our version of FBI / ATF , etc etc )

I hope these people are stopped soon – they have my artwork, my initials, and my email posted!!!! I thought I was safe staying away from Internet pornography, and “online dating” and all the rest of it … G.D. I feel paranoid about ANY classifed post now!

Hope we all find some relief soon, and be well ! =)

  51. Guys..someone pointed to the correct move . The server whom they using got to be notified. They will be liable as you give them the notice.
Violations to federal copyright law may carry heavy civil and criminal penalties. For example, civil penalties include damages and legal fees. The minimum fine is $750 per downloaded file. Criminal penalties, even for first-time offenders, can be stiff: up to $250,000 in fines and five years in prison.

Look at the email address. Phone them to and demand to take your pictures off the site. Your picture is copyrighted if you take it yourself. You did not give them permission to repost or copy. And they never asked, they are knowingly violating the DMCA…It was passed in 1998. Now if they get shot down and move to a new server you just have to send the same email to the new server warning them of copyright infringement. Now i already downloaded the WHOLE site if will comes to any court case we will have the proof. As you can read it 750$ per violation..This is the simplest way to go. Otherwise you higher an attorney and sue, They got to pay for your attorney fees too…Read the law….

  52. This site is devoid of humanity and is run by a man who is proud of learning how to rip people off from the government. My info was posted as well. This site needs to be removed.

    1. I am not using Craigslist anymore!! I was hit too, and I wasn’t replying to a sex ad. I replied to a normal personals ad, and now this is happening. It is scary that your name could be tarnished so quickly online. I never thought I would be a victim to these psychos. I have not filed a complaint yet, but I will!! It sounds like other people are being hit in categories other than personal ads, but it does not make me feel better that you can now search my name and find shit that could potentially ruin my life.

  53. I am demanding to remove my name and PICTURES posted on PredatorsWatch.com.,the material was illegally obtained with out my authorization. The pictures were copied from Craisglist in a fraudulent manner.I have downloaded the whole site and the material will be turned over to the appropriate authorities, including the FBI.You company is aiding Extortion, next to the infringements because they are (Predatorwatch)demanding 99.95$ for the removal of names.. A give you time until Monday Morning. If my picture is still online your company will be served with a Federal inquiry as many people will be part of the lawsuit. A a web server you are liable to remove copyrighted material. Thank you for your cooperation. If any question arrive please email me..Respectfully ..

I sent this mail to the company above. The mail didn’t come back so it is a working address. Lets go from here…Everyone have to write the same language. It is 750$ fine per picture. You can sue and get reimbursement.

    1. I would like to be a part of this lawsuit, I just recieved an email from this scam as well. I just want to sue this guy for this copyright infringment

    2. I would like to be involved in this lawsuit.
I just received an email this site..
I want to sue this guy for this copyright infringement and put him behind bards.

  54. got an interesting email today that said I was a predator. However, the picture they have of me is from 3 years ago and is on an email account I only stared using 2 years ago when originally setting up my phone.

I only use that email account for ticket purchases on craigslist as well as used it for the purchasing of an item in the sporting goods section last summer.

Good news is when I search my name or the email address thru google, nothing appears in images or the search. The only way I can see it is if I go to that site specifically.

Suggestions? Just got this email a few hours ago, and a bit unsure as to why.

  55. Hello,

Thank you very much for your notification. After researching the domain, we have found that eNom, Inc. only provides domain name registration for this customer. We are not the webhost, internet service provider, or administrator for PredatorsWatch.com. Given that we are not the webhost for the domain, the allegedly infringing material identified in your notification does not reside on eNom’s computer servers. Accordingly, we do not have the technical ability to remove or disable specific items of objectionable content.

Again, due to the limited technical sphere in which eNom operates, we do not believe that we are the correct party to contact regarding this matter. In this instance, we suggest that you contact the party operating the website or the party hosting the website to have this matter properly resolved. A “ping” of the website you indicated often reveals the IP number of the party which probably hosts this website. You may then use http://whois.arin.net/uis or another similar tool to identify this party.

Feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have any additional questions or concerns.

  58. Michael is also a Public Notary – they take an oath and MUST have ALL RECORDS of services- you may be able to get him AUDITED and then that will be CRIMINAL CHARGES.

  59. Craigslist is now using an email relay system which will make it very difficult for this scam to continue. I suggest that nobody pays this scam artist a dime. Can you honestly trust this guy with your credit card information? The site will be shut down soon, just like their last one was.

  60. The individual behind any website that fishes for information from good people and defames their name should be held accountable.

The courts of this country can empower an individual to both hold the site accountable and help others whose names are being dragged through the mud.

Anyone who has been wrongfully hurt by this website should contact an attorney who specializes in class actions and complex litigation.

    [email protected]

  61. Responded through Craigslist to 3 ads. Knew they were all kind of scammy, as the sent me nude photos. Because I wouldnt joint thier site, they added me to this site. So I tried adding them to predators….using thier email, name and nude photos but NO, it states the theres an error.

  62. Insane how people attempt to make money these days. Just replied to a few ads and got this email, luckily just got a picture, but still..crazy shit. People really have no morals these days. I’m just trying to get some booty lol.

    1. You know what a secret booty encounter is much more commendable than buying a prostitute. Don’t feel bad gentleman the least bit. Weve had a president get head next to the Lincoln Room and he’s still a respectable man. Theres nothing wrong with online dating and women searching as long as it is for women and I am about 100% none of us on here where looking for kids. if that was the case a REAL pedafile watch agency would have already marked all of us!!!!

  63. I don’t know if this guy is actually in the US but even if he were, the website is hosted in Europe out of the reach of US law so it’s not going to be as simple as reporting him to state authorities or else he could have been prosecuted already for blackmail.

What about going after Craigslist directly since they log all IP addresses of posters? I don’t think that the email relay system is working since that has been in effect for a while and they still manage to post on CL. Craigslist sheds all responsibility for anything that happens through their website but it’s about time that they are held accountable for allowing known blackmailers to continue posting.

I feel sorry for anyone that was scammed by this scumbag but us guys have to start letting our brains do our thinking instead of our gonads. I would never causally send a pic to anyone who posts on CL since it’s been known for years that there are a lot of scammers out there. It’s not just PredatorsWatch since there have been several well publicized “projects” where these jerks place fake ads and then publish online the names and pictures of those who responded.

  64. I feel a little better now after visiting here seeing that I’m not the only one and that the site is being exposed, but still feel kinda stupid, embarrassed and angry. I also replied to ads on craigslist sex personals. Got the email yesterday. Thankfully didn’t use a known email address, and there is no city, but it is my real first name and last initial. I’m definitely not going to give them my credit card info, because then they’d have all of my info. What probably most worries me is that both face and body are in the pic, blurry, and shows just up past my eyes so someone could possibly recognize me. Did not know this kind of elaborate scam existed, and that I would be a victim. I had no ill-intent. I will do what I can to get my profile down and help report the sites illegal activity. I will definitely avoid craigslist personals. Btw, is it illegal to post or reply with nudes online, even in an adult personals section?

  65. HI everybody I have learned through years of experience that if you want action on any matter don’t go to the bottom go to the top. Reading thru the posts here, there seems to be a fairly large number of law abiding citizens being scammed. This is Blackmail and extortion punishable under federal law. So if emough of you would sit down and write a letter to the Director of the FBI and copy your State Attorney General the State Senator and your congressmen and mail the letters by certified mail not email. I can gurantee that these scum bags will end up in jail.

  66. I got hit by this yesterday. I will follow steps above that someone posted about filing complaints to certain agencies, but I am pretty sure being on here doesn’t mean anything. I actually googled my username to see if potential employers could somehow find out my anon email and see my picture, and nothing even popped up. Literally no search results available.

  67. I’ve been using CL for years for various things, and this was the first time, at least that i know of, that I’ve been caught up in a scam. My picture was just posted there, thankfully with an ambiguous name and email address, so it can’t be directly linked to me, but still, it’s very unnerving having your picture up on a website called “PredatorsWatch.”

I guess there’s strength in numbers, so what’s the most effective way of trying to bring the cite down? Is it a complain to IC3, as people have suggested?

  68. All tech savy people should band together and create a virus program that will take this site down illegally. Play fire with inferno

  69. Wait how do we even know that this site is even owned by them too. The FBI doesn’t do anything to help its American citizens with this online fraud. Apparently this fraud has been running for a long time and we do have the technology to track everyone now a days and even viruses can shut down a individuals computer or server. I understand there is laws governing rights but this is just ridiculous. How do we know this is not a side project of the Government, Beta testing their information gathering through social networks? If it is they should have a reasonable method of deleting innocent bystanders. And if it not government based than good hearted hackers should join up and create a virus that will wipe clean the internet of this BULLSHIT!!!

  70. Let’s DOS attack these assholes. Basically you dedicate your computer to sending requests to their site 24/7. The hope is we send enough traffic to bring them down, or at least make a huge hosting bill for them. This is a tool developed by anonymous:

    http://gizmodo.com/5709630/what-is-loic

Here is a version you can run from your web browser:

    http://cisko.fr/

    Let’s kill these fuckers.

  71. Well I am the newest member of your club, but it is not a laughing matter. Unfortunately I enjoy Seattle and Vancouver BC’s craigslist for killing time mainly and due to such I have fallen victim to predatorswatch. Low and behold I am now a predator on their A-list which makes me very nervous about crossing the US/Can border like I often do. Unfortantely being Canadian probably doesn’t help, but I will still contact the US agencies mentioned previously because I have always found that the US gov’t is way more proned to help their people unlike most Candian Gov’t agencies and thier employees that are supposed to be there for the Canadian people. Cheers all and kindest regards. PS I sure as shit hope this site is not a scam that is scamming all of us because today was going to be a good day heading south of the border but now it is totally screwed up.

    1. Hey man, you sound like you really know what you’re doing, if you get any more ideas on how to stop this site please let us know. I contacted ENOM with the whole copyright infringement claim regards my photo and they just said they’re not the webhosts, then I ran a “who is” search and got that guys name in Stockholm –what do I do now?

  72. Dude? are you serious? Don’t worry about crossing the border and stop being so paranoid.. Everyone knows this site is a bloody joke.. It’s a sham….. Wikipedia even talks about it now… Don’t worry so much about it.. It will be shut down soon… (So people keep saying)… They stole your photo and your email.. This is Extortion and blackmail!! – Don’t pay these jerk offs a single dime! – I did think somebody would have been able to hack this site by now… but I guess I watch too many movies… 🙁

Anyways people…. relax… This site has NO credibility , google it and you will easily find out it’s SCAM from the Lowest of the low…. Somebody needs to step up though… like now.. and take this site out… It’s been up for weeks now … The joke is over.

  73. Thanks Bruce. After a few pondering beers I came to the conclusion “that little puppies piss on big wheels, I am the little puppy and they are the big wheels” and if anybody that knows me actually things that I am a predator then they have more shit for brains than me for getting caught up in this evil scam. Cheers!

  74. Everybody go to FTC.GOV and file a complaint! I already did and they said if they get enough complaints on this website then they will be brought down. Go Now!!!!

  75. It’s a scam.. All you can do is report it and hope they go away. I googled my number, and email address and a few other terms and their website doesn’t even show up In These searches. But my email address is disposable, the pic they have does not show my face, and if I ever get a text or phone call from someone about it, I’ll post their info on there and see how they like it.

  76. yeah, it’s not showing your face… because it’s probably showing your sausage….. It is pretty sketchy seeing all those wieners up there… Man I wouldn’t want to be the guy that posted his face pic and schlong… and real name…..

I can’t believe nobody is doing anything about this…… world wide web certainly has power over us all…

I’m glad I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s , playing road hockey and not a care in the world… now it’s all internet, iphone, ipad, BB pin number…. sick of it all… need a vacation… Thailand perhaps? 😛

  77. I was thinking of getting a pic of Mike King and creating a bunch of free websites (like on Weebly) along with his phone number saying he’s a predator – a dose of his own medicine. Also, since he likes Craigslist so much lets all post ads with his number, maybe for free stuff, sex, etc and see how he like this attention. Here’s his info:
    Elite Consulting Svc USA
    (305) 610-3581
    18243 Sw 149th Pl, Miami, FL 33187

  78. does anybody know how long until the site will go down? and will the info be taken away with it? i paid to have my info taken down cause I don’t want to have anybody see that shit even if it is fake. The pic still shows up on image search results and in web search results the same links are still there.

  79. Got hit too, but the pic they used is my Facebook profile pic where I’m playing soccer with my friends so not exactly a pic that screams “predator”.

I googled myself and it’s not even the first thing that comes up. It’s on the second page and well after a whole bunch of my college projects. I’m confident that any employeer who is remotely web savvy will realize it’s a scam.

The site is hardly noteworthy especially when you compare it to official sex offender sites. For my page, they only have my e-mail, but no location, or cell phone, or any official charge. So really I’m not worried, since there’s really nothing of note on there.

So I’ll sit back and wait for the site to come down.

  80. for anybody who paid the money, did you have success it getting the search results removed from google? i tried the cache removel request and got the cache pages off, but image still shows up as well as the search results, the page just isn’t there anymore. the cache removal for the image says it was denied because it is still on a live page. any guidance is appreciated

  81. I got hit with this site a month or so ago, & they have my email address & somehow my real name. The FTC said if they get enough calls they will intervene. Can everyone afflicted please just call so we can put an end to this.

  82. Wtf?!? I got hit with this bullshit this morning..I ain’t replied to any craigslist shit in over 2 months an I got this crap…now all they got is my cell number an cell email..I just gonna change my stuff an go from there..honestly that is really low scamming people this way…anything I can honestly do? The pic in question isn’t even mine an they got it on there..what can I do???

  83. Just got put on this site. Funny because they have a picture I use to post on Craigs and its of my junk not my face. They have my e-mail address, and the name is just my initials cause gmail will use your name unless you change it. So I just put my initials. Got the e-mail notification from a hotmail account [email protected].

  84. Also, haven’t used Craigslist in over a 2 month period. Must have replied to one of my adds and I replied back. Took the basic info and ran with it. Must of just now got around to “notifying” me lol.

  85. I got hit and i haven’t even been on craigslist in almost 2 months. these fuckers have my pic email and cell all of which i use for work. I don’t have the money to even try to undo this shit so who the hell i gotta beat to fix this shit

  86. So I got hit – twice. Two different email addresses.
I searched “my name predatorswatch” in Google.

What came up in the links is what is posted on thesite. I browsed through looking for my profile and found blurry images of other victims, faceless photos, photos of men’s penises, photos of plants and animals, and even a photo of the San Clemente Police seal? Really.

Well i went further… i paid the $100. Profile got removed. Called chase bank and got my money refunded. Then after the refund, it appeared with my alternate email.

Im thinking about a trip to florida…

    1. Leave me your name and number ” revenge” Be easy…and no worries none of us should be using real names yet until our names are wiped from this. Yes I got some issues with Florida we need to go in solidarity demanding justice

  87. ok the wikipedia page about predatorswatch has been deleted but not the website?? WTF!!!!!!! how come this shit is till up!

  88. Guys, I got hit too, I’ve done the following:
    1) filed complaint with my locale police who connected me to internet fraud bureau and where i submitted a full complaint
    2) contacted Anonymous at 4chan, just gave them a heads up of the situation
    3) Used the steps above to contact google both with regard to lodge a “phishing” complaint since they want credit card info as well as “defamation complaint”
    4) contacted FTC lodged a complaint

I’d like to know more about what I can do. I tried this:

    http://cisko.fr/

And it does seem to have crashed the site for the time being at least, maybe we should all just do it in unison and leave it on our browsers the whole time.

We have to find a way to stop these guys forever, this could be life destroying. If anyone has more ideas please list them.

    1. I’m following the steps others have suggested.

I would also just suggest everyone should post about it on fb and/or email your friends so people know you are not guilty.

I looked up Michael King in Florida and he’s in jail for murder – can’t be the same guy?

  89. On their secure SSL payment page, they are using a third party security certificate, RapidSSL (see bottom left of the page for image displayed).

    http://www.rapidssl.com/

Contact these folks @ 1-866-795-4669 and raise some hell.

RapidSSL is helping to enable this extortion racket, and they may not even be aware of the site’s nature. I think if enough people complained (about 10) they would cancel the site’s SSL certificate.

Without a method to secure card capture transactions, PredatorsWatch wouldn’t be able to conduct “business.”

They might seek out another SSL provider and then you’d have to do it again, though you can put a dent in their operation and become a thorn in their side.

    Terminator

  90. This happens not when you reply through CL but when you click the link in a spam email. Everyone above including me could’ve avoided this scam by living by one rule on CL. Do not EVER follow a link from CL. My guess is that this email was posing as girl that didn’t want to use CL but her own personal email. It’s fishing for extortions opportunities and it really should be unlawful. Hopefully one day it will. I’d like to see a class action suit.

  91. I just found out today that i am on this site and im more then pissed about it. i say it about time we all file something with the courts tomorrow im going to be looking in to any legal acktions we can take as well as taking them on a run fr there money. im going to see about a law suit we can file agenst them. this might bring out some bad about all of use but my name means more to me then anything. if you are willing to help stop this site and he people behind it please contact me and maybe we can find a lawer to take are case.

    1. Hey cliff I am with you………..I am even going as far to stage a rally outside of their house, compund, office building, or wherever they do their dirt. Only Florida allows bullshit like this without taken action, but its Florida what else is new. sorry if I offended any Floridians but your state got problems!

    1. Hell yea…………Man after my own heart!! I WILL FIGHT FOR MY NAME! its the one my Dad left me and it will reside with my child when I am not here. Lets pray Justice works for us first! I am not a predator, violent person, or trouble maker but I be damned!@

  92. hey i replied to a craigslist ad with a picture of me but just my body, not my face. i got two replies, one with a girl and a picture, and another with a girl saying i should send her an email on her hotmail to get a pic. I sent the girl an email but with no pic, and i didn’t answer the other girl with a picture. But basically i deleted the hotmail account (which was a fake but had my real email as an alternate address) I haven’t gotten a predator email yet but i just deleted the hotmail account

so basically, my question is, what were the steps taken from all of you after responding to a craigslist ad and receiving an email? Did you click any links? Did you email back with a pic?

  93. Also, I dont know about you guys, but I can’t click on the predator watch link, it won’t let me. But maybe this is because I haven’t gotten the email yet?

  94. I replied to a post on CL W4M(not casual encounters) with my pic hoping to meet a woman we chatted for a week or two and she goggled my e-mail address and said I was an on-line predator and wanted nothing to do with me. WTF I’m just trying to meet a nice woman for dating and a relationship was not looking for sex or a one nighter. I’m so pissed right now this guy is ruining lives without no merit to his claim.

  95. again I stress, do not pay these scumbags, contact google through the links above, the FTC, your local police department who will connect you to their internet fraud division.

I think we should also contact craigslist since thats where it all started, they may have some ideas on how to take action.

  96. Same thing happened to me too. Don’t worry because that site predatorswatch will have a court order and be shut down before you know it. The site is also set to expire 11.09.2013. Hopefully it won’t be renewed and just shut down forever. That website is breaking so many laws it’s not even funny. It’s a waterfront for stealing people’s info and pictures(images), It’s also extorting people for a one time removal fee of $99.95. To top that off they never asked for permission to have your photo posted on their site. Some of the photos on that site are pornagraphic and I believe that the website provider is supposed to have a special permit to host and exploit adult images and graphics that are not and may not be suitable to persons of a certain age. The same owner of that site has had many of his other scam sites shut down also. To make this clear predatorswatch does not have much time left before they get shutdown, along with all the lawsuits and possible prison time that the one’s whom are involved in this nigerian ponnzi scam!

  98. Call Rapid SSL and tell them the site is an extortion/defamation site and in addition is in copyright infringement –so at least Rapid SSL (which handles their payments) will be brought down.
    1-866-795-4669

Next make sure you call the FTC, they said that they will intervene if enough people call:
    1877 382 4357

  99. Guys, we have to have this site stopped and erased immediately. This is pure extortion and defamation.
I would implore any of you who have not called the FTC, rapid ssl, filed an ic3.gov and contacted your local police to do so immediately.

Moreover, any of you who have any idea how this site can be stopped and the people who run it prosecuted, please post information here.

    1. I’m with you JL………………………..Lets tighten the grips on these criminals and even organize a freedom rider bus trip to Florida.
If the law want defend us- we will!! This is no different than violating any other constitutional right! The freedom and privacy act explains this.

  100. JL – I contacted SSL and got nowhere. They just transferred me to a # that kept on ringing. I am also concerned that If I call FTC, or IC3, that they may become suspicious of me, even though I have done no wrong. But perhaps I am wrong about that and should call anyways. I agree that nobody should pay this site a penny. DO NOT give these scam artists your credit card info!

    1. No don’t be worried about that, everyone I talked with immediately recognized that this site is s scam, many had heard about it and that it is absolutely illegal. Call the FTC, IC3, police etc..

  101. JL – update – I called SSL again, and they try to say (like everyone else on the internet) that they are not responsible. However I did convince the person to take a look at the site, and they said they will forward that info to their legal department. Maybe that helps. Keep in mind, when you call SSL, you will be dealing with their customer orders representatives.

  102. Hey you guys………been a victim too!! But I’ve worked too hard for my good reputation to have it damaged unjustfully- if they want to continue this. The heat in the kitchen is about to get really bad!

  103. whats even more funny is I was talking with my girlfriend and admitted to having casually inquired on craigslist but I have no idea how they got my photo. I can’t put those 2 together other than I use an android phone that leaks information. who else has heard about the viruses on these phones making your information vunerable. I also ended up with money taken out of my account for some bogus charge from a strange company. Wasn’t a lot of money but the prick of a thousand needles. if they are doing this *&^% to a lot of people these crooks are making a killing.

  104. ALL VICTIMS. PLEASE GO TO MY SITE AND BECOME A MEMBER. JUST STARTED TODAY BUT I AM GOING TO DO A TEMPLATE FOR A PETITION. WHO KNOWS WHAT CAREER I COULD LOOSE BECAUSE OF THESE CRIMINALS SO I BELIEVE MYSELF AND OTHERS SHOULD BE HANDSOMELY REWARDED! LETS GET EM!

  105. whose with me. I AM A FREEMASON!!! They really climbed into the wrong hornet nest this time. And not because of that spooky TV-fictional s*&^% you hear about Masons because I have the United Grand Lodge of England and The Grand Lodge of Arkansas behind my reputation and this fraternity does not initiate pedafiles lest they be found and immediately oust. Well I am still in good standing.

  106. Moreover, they don’t just take pics and names from Craigslist –they get them from social networking sites and other places they can find your picture and email.

  107. I just called Rapid SSL : 1-866-795-4669

Yes, the number is of their customer service department. Just explain the issue as I did below. The individual I spoke to at Rapid SSL gave me his email address and asked me to explain everything and include the link to the site. He totally understood this was a bogus site and would forward the information to their legal department immediately.

I encourage EVERYONE affected by this to call the number and follow the steps I took –this will definitely get them down.

I explained this site had illegally taken my photograph from a social networking site (facebook or linked in) and posted that pic with my email and full name. Not only is this illegal, but then it attempts blackmail asking for money to delete this profile. I said this is all illegal on several levels: copyright infringement, defamation, blackmail, extortion.
The man I spoke to asked me to write a full email explaining everything and said he would escalate the matter to their legal department.

    1. you’re welcome, but please complain to Rapid SSL, google, file, FTC, etc. –it’s all very easy and takes 5-10 minutes each.

We need momentum behind this and all of the agencies have said the more complaints that we send the faster this site will be taken down.

  108. Understand that PredatorsWatch is doing this to make money; it’s nothing against you personally; you only represent a potential dollar amount to them, nothing more.

Take away their ability to conduct transactions over the Web and you take away their incentive to continue their operation.

It appears their website files are hosted on a home server which uses DNS software to hide their geographic location. If you paste in their website’s IP address (84.22.109.240) in the following tool, it shows their host server’s physical location is in Antarctica.

    http://www.iplocation.net/

No legitimate business would go to such lengths to obfuscate their identity and physical location.

Since their ‘payment for removal’ doesn’t use a third-party card processor such as PayPal, it’s reasonable to assume they have their own Merchants Account, which enables them to process credit card transactions via their website.

There are certain rules and guidelines that must be followed to have your own Merchants Account, and to also display the banking organizations’ logos which guarantee payments. In this case, they are:

    MasterCard
    Visa
    Discover
    American Express

    Requirements for a Merchant Account
    https://service.futurequest.net/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/44

Since the extortion amounts are small ($99.95), they are under the requisite threshold dollar amount for federal intervention on scams, regardless of their potential aggregate dollar value over time.

All said, the only course of action is to contact the banking institutions (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) which guarantee payments, and report PredatorsWatch as an unethical operation that steals personal information from the Internet for the explicit purpose of extorting money.

These banks DO NOT allow their logos to be displayed by, or associated with scam operations, or those that hide their identity and geographic location.

      1. I’m starting now with contacting Amex and Master Card, please everyone who reads this follow suit and lodge a complaint. I want this website completely inoperative by the end of next week.

  109. At last pure victory. I reported to Google . The attorney general didn’t do much, neither the Internet police. After a week of back and forth….Here is your solution folks. If you have the original picture you are the owner. And that is all the proof you need. Google contact is some post above, easy to find. Good luck to you all…

    Hello,

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have completed processing your infringement notice. The following URL will be removed from Google’s search results in a few hours:

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

If you would like to file additional requests, we ask that you contact us by using the online forms at: http://www.google.com/support/go/legal as we do not accept add-on requests.

    Regards,
    The Google Team
    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

We have received your DMCA notice dated 2/26/13. It is unclear to us whether or not you are the authorized copyright agent for the image in question. Only the copyright owner or an authorized representative can file a DMCA notice on his/her behalf. Please note that you may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) if you materially misrepresent that a product or activity is infringing your copyrights.

Under U.S. law, copyright in an image is generally owned by the person who created the image, unless the image was made as part of that person’s responsibilities as an employee (in which case the image belongs to the employer) or that person entered into a written agreement to transfer the rights to the image to someone else. So, for example, a person who is the subject of a photograph is generally not the owner of the copyright in the photograph (unless the person has obtained the rights to the photograph, such as by written agreement).

If you still believe you are the copyright owner in this case, then please reply to this e-mail with documentation that confirms you are the rights holder for this image. Otherwise we cannot process your complaint.

    Regards,
    The Google Team

      1. Excellent, but what about getting rid of the associated email when a general Web Search is performed? (e.g. [email protected]) … the linked page still shows up. Google offers no such protection for this, despite the fact that the LINK leads to the website with the image still intact.

  110. Looks like PredatorsWatch.com is catching some heat. Their little home server is either unable to handle normal website traffic, or they are under a DOS attack, or they’re having second thoughts about committing copyright infringement, defamation, protection racketeering and extortion right out in the open.

You can check to see if they are offline with this free tool:
    http://www.websitedown.info/predatorswatch.com

    Cheers

  111. AMERICAN EXPRESS

    https://www209.americanexpress.com/merchant/singlevoice/singlevoiceflash/USEng/pdffiles/MerchantPolicyPDFs/US_%20RefGuide.pdf

American Express has built a brand that is synonymous with trust, integrity, security, quality, and customer service. We work diligently to uphold our reputation and restrict Merchants from engaging in activities that would harm our business or brand. Except as expressly permitted by Applicable Law, Merchants must not engage in activities that harm our business or the American Express Brand (or both).

  112. Major media would be the way to go for nationwide publicity, unfortunately, the FBI said the individual transactions ($99.95) are below the monetary threshold for government intervention.

The predatorswatch.com site has been reported by me and thousands of other victims from all over the world. And while everyone, including law enforcement, agrees the operation is an illegal scheme to extort money, the site still operates with complete impunity.

Everything today is contract law; nothing gets done without a contract, or breach of contract. This is why I’ve been pursuing the banking angle. Merchant Accounts come with a specific set of rules, that once broken, will result in revocation of the vendor’s Merchant Account (their ability to process card transactions).

The only other website operations I’ve seen shut down immediately were those alleged to be in violation of copyright laws – and which were seized by the Dept. of Homeland Security.

    Here’s an example: http://torrent-finder.com/

A person’s photograph is understood to be copyrighted IF the same photo has been published elsewhere already. Normal protocol is to submit a propery worded DMCA notice to the host server agent requesting the image and it’s page be removed. Otherwise, your request can be contested or denied.

The problem with the PredatorsWatch.com scam is 1) they are the hosting server, 2) the photos they have are generally not found online and 3) they are criminals who don’t obey laws and only want your money.

  113. Below is a report I filed with ICE. If you’re a victim of this scam, you can use the same template letter.

    http://www.ice.gov/exec/forms/hsi-tips/tips.asp

I am writing to report an extortion scam that steals personal information from the Internet, posts it to the violator’s website, then demands payment of $99.95 from the individual for its removal.

The website in question is predatorswatch.com.

The predatorswatch.com site contacted me by email on March 12, 2013 asking for money to remove my personal information and photo listed on their website. Until March 12, 2013, I had never heard of this company, nor I have ever previously entered into any contract with them.

I suspect they took my photo and contact details from a dating profile on the Web (without my permission) and are now holding this information hostage unless I pay them.

PredatorsWatch.com is a scam operation that hijacks photos and personal information from Craigslist, Facebook and miscellaneous dating sites, posts it to their sexual predator website, then attempts to extort money from its victims for the information’s removal.

The predatorswatch.com displays no address, no telephone, does not respond to emails and has written content under its website FAQ page that attempts to dissuade its victims from seeking any recourse, other than paying their extortion fee.

Beyond its crimes of copyright infringement, defamation, protection racketeering and extortion, predatorswatch.com is violating specific Merchant Account rules as well.

It appears their website files are hosted on a home server which uses DNS software to hide their geographic location. Their website’s IP address (84.22.109.240) indicates their host server’s physical location is in Antarctica.

No legitimate business would go to such lengths to obfuscate their identity and physical location. Further, one only needs to conduct an online search of predatorswatch.com to read hundreds of scam reports on this extortion enterprise.

The site has been reported by me and thousands of other victims from all over the world. And while everyone, including law enforcement, agrees the operation is an illegal scheme to extort money, the site still operates with complete impunity.

As an American citizen, I feel a great sense of loss that mine and other Americans’ personal information are held hostage by predatorswatch.com for the purpose of extorting money.

Please conduct an investigation that hopefully results in disabling the predatorswatch.com website and/or the prosecution of those persons responsible for perpetrating this crime. Their site currently lists over 200,000 victims.

  114. i have just got told im on this bullshit site, and i would like some help to get my info and photo taken off ASAP!! please help!! who knew trying to meet people on craigslist would screw you in this way?! SMH

    1. Report them to WikiProbe – They actually investiate and have attorneys who HELP!! Not just a blog. FYI – The site, predatorswatch has been taken down, thanks to WikiProbe

  115. If you file this info to Goggle. The claim will be documented on the chilling effect website. Which can be seen by anybody with just a simple Goggle search. I heard even if you do pay Predatorswatch they sometimes will not still take your photo and info off their site or they will post it up again a few weeks to a month later! Those guys are bastards. The only real solution is to wait until they get shut down or wait to see if they renew their domain name and site which is set to expire on november 9th 2013. However I researched their site and it turns out that they do in fact have two not one but two IP Addresses for their domain in the Netherlands.

    1. No need to be a victim folks. Please follow these instructions so that we can eliminate this website. Should any FUTURE websites pop up, this tactic is still valid.

This works so long as someone is running the task below at all times. One party will disable the website from being viewed. Many people performing the operation listed below will result in the website being shut down by the host. Data management comes at the expense of SPACE… the more DATA the host server has to manage for a given website, the more costly it is to keep the website hosted. Even if you try to access the website and find it is NOT running, you would be doing a service to yourself by running the program. No need to install, simply run it in your favorite browser and breath easier knowing that the website is effectively shut down. Also note: Search engines such as Google and Yahoo! have ‘crawlers’ that update web links for both Web Searches and Image Searches on a fairly regular basis. If the website is DOWN during the next crawl session, the content of the website will no longer show up in Search engines. Remember folks, Google isn’t the only search engine business in town… just because you get Google to clear your picture, doesn’t mean Yahoo! will. This method circumnavigates that issue.

      ENJOY!

      Instructions to disable website:

      1) Open the following link on a dedicated computer – one that you can leave on for a while.

      http://cisko.fr/

      2) On step 1 of the website, input:

      https://predatorswatch.com

      3) Hit the blue button (step 3 on website) and be sure that the attack status below is accumulating numbers. Do not be concerned by the fact that the numbers stop – in fact, when they do, visit the source website and see if it is still operating.

I will be operating this program on a dedicated server until Google can extinguish photos from its end. At the very least, concerned parties will click on a link that leads into…

      This webpage is not available
The server at predatorswatch.com can’t be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website’s name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Chromium from accessing the network.
      Here are some suggestions:
      Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Check your DNS settings. Contact your network administrator if you’re not sure what this means.
Try disabling network prediction by following these steps: Go to the Chromium menu > Settings > Show advanced settings… and deselect “Predict network actions to improve page load performance.” If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.

      ………………………………………………………….

  116. Anyone new to this thread: please see my posts pointing to

    http://cisko.fr/

If everyone out there runs this app in their browser, particularly on a computer you can leave on day and night, we can effectively turn out the lights on this site.

Please don’t avoid it because someone else is already doing it. The more people involved, the greater the chance that the site will simply be kicked out of its rented parking spot.

    Thank you.

      1. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is truly one of those times where hacking has saved hundreds of victims from being persecuted through no fault of their own. I hope this site continues to stay down, as it has caused me so much frustration and worry.

  117. (((((( DO NOT VISIT THE LINK ABOVE!!!!!!! ))))))

Annoyed’s site attempted to install a trojan virus on my computer. Fortunately my antivirus software stopped it.

    1. Terminator,

The link I have supplied is a well-documented tool. Your security program on your PC has misidentified it as a Trojan.

Please find ONE source via Google or any other search index that provides information stating that the above website is malicious to those who use it and I will retract my statement immediately.

      Godseed.

ps. I do not approve of this tool for any use other than one in which legal action provides no relief.

    2. Nonsense…I am using it right now and nothing happened. I have a feeling you are tied to that stupid Nigerian Archie Richardson and are trying to save his stupid little site. It’s too late.

      1. Ok, so I’ve been informed the real owner might be this Mike King fellow. Either way, his little operation is over. And if he brings it back, we’ll just crash it again.

  118. my local police said they just got a call a few days ago about a guy who actually paid to have the information removed and it was put up again a couple of weeks later.

Also, I noticed that if I do a google search of my email, not just my name it comes up with 2 urls for this bloody site, not just 1!!!!! Does this mean that if one is removed the other one is till there??? No word from google yet, but hopefully it will be there soon.

  119. I guess it would be good if the site just gets kicked off through annoyed’s crashing of their server but if you do a google search of your name and email the info: PREDATORS WATCH, YOUR NAME, EMAIL(your email), CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER, still appears –I mean this site has to be destroyed completely.

  120. I mean the above is even worse because if the website isn’t working you can’t tell it’s sort of a bullshit site, with just the link appearing it has your name and email address right next to the words “convicted sex offender”.

Guys, I’m having a nervous breakdown over this. Please help. Please call your credit card companies and follow the steps above.

    1. I share your grief. Shutting down the website and KEEPING it shut down is key. By antagonizing the host: a) you will force the owner to pay more money out for bandwidth or b) the host will pull the plug on the site as it is disruptive to their server activity. If this were a legitimate company, they would have IMMEDIATE legal recourse. As it is, if the fool did want to seek legal action against someone who was pinging their server over and over again, they would have to disclose their own identity, thus enabling you to counter sue for libel, slander, extortion, etc. Keep in mind, once the website is disabled for a period of days, the search engines will be updated and the links will be removed — Google doesn’t like providing links to websites that don’t load. Same goes for every other search engine.

      Cheers.

  121. Proud to announce that PredatorsWatch has been shut down!!!! We received an email from the FBI Cyber Crimes unit who we have been working with and they have indicated that the site was shut down and the investigation is ongoing.

  122. Glad I found this! I was researching a candidate for a job one of the search results was his listing on PredatorsWatch.com, but couldn’t access the page. The website might be down but people’s profiles are showing up in Google searches. These people aren’t just extorting innocent people, they’re flat-out defaming people and could really hurt someone’s chances of getting a job.

  123. HELP: So I had GOOGLE take down my profile and while that is still listing I have noticed that my original complaint is prominently on the chillingeffects.org site –at the bottom if you do my name search, it says one result has been removed for legal reasons and the filed complaint is available on the site. How do I get chillingeffects.org to remove this? I feel any association with this sordid matter is extremely deleterious to my reputation and embarassing. How do I now have chillingeffects.org NOT reveal this matter on the internet? Please help.

  124. JL all you have to do is go to the chillingeffect.org and have that claim that you posted removed. Predatorswatch.com is not coming back it has been taken down forever! The google search and all of the other search engines will soon be deleted along with all of the search results. It takes about a good two to three weeks before a website that has been taken down to not show up on all search results. If this slime happened to save any or all of this data like all of the emails and all of that info and tries to use it again to make another bogus website, that website will be deleted and taken down too. Don’t worry my friend justice will always be served! Just next time you go on craigslist and think about sending a photo with your real name and email don’t because i’m sure this whole Predatorswatch thing has been a real wake up call for us all. It’s a wake up call for all of us to be more cautious and alert about scams and so fourth. Take care and I hope everything works out well for you. As far as the google search goes it will be all taken down really soon as far as google images and the search results info and stuff go it will all be removed within a couple of weeks, I believe. Cheers!

  125. OMG! My boyfriend is on this site! Ridiculous- he is an active duty Marine and the sweetest man I have ever met. The absolute furthest thing from what belongs on this site! And it’s a picture of him IN UNIFORM- no name just email. WTF! Where do they even get this stuff? If my kids see this down the road can you imagine that! Plus this could ruin his military career! Does anyone know what to do! I will pay the $100 he*& i’ll pay a thousand just take this stuff down and punish this scammer!

  127. Guys don’t even sweat this because they just broke the law by re- putting it back up again. This is good because this is when the arrests and the seizing begins! They think they can just defy the law. Wikilobe.org will just taken them down once again! 🙂

  128. They have to seize the Domain Name too along with all of its data. Then make the arrests. Its seems that predatorswatch.com just jumps on different domain servers. They should figure out how to black list them. I can’t stress this enough for everyone,” Just don’t worry about any of this”, this guy has been doing scam websites since like 2004 or something? Why devote most or all of your energy and give this Nigerian Piece of foreign scum asshole all of your attention? Pretty soon he just might be arrested along with everything including all data seized along with The Predatorswatch name which will be blacklisted from all search engines.

  129. I got into contact with an individual at Infobunker.com. He said while they unable to directly remove the site as they are a client of a client of a client, he hopes the site will be taken down in the next few hours.

  130. Looks like my contacting Infobunker got it taken down again, or they’re at least they’re working on it because I’m getting “problem loading page” errors when I try to go to it now. So if they do end up popping up under another host again, just do what I did: contact the host, tell them about the scam, and give them links to websites that have documented the scam.

  131. That is the trick guys, glad the info helped. A basic WHOIS look up of the domain and a traceroute provided the info for next time.

Also – you can report abuse to Google as well, they utilize the Google search results and brag about it in the PW description. Google legal was not happy to hear about this either.

There is always a way around this crap. The FBI, Homeland and IC3 take way to much time to get things going.

  132. Enom Inc has also been notified of the abuse. This is the Domain Register used. The domain is also purchased under the name of the same individual that owns The Pirate Bay. False registration – this is immediate cause for revoke of domain rights.

  133. If you do a search for ‘Predators Watch’ – google is now not reporting it in the search results.

It was the first result returned as of last evening. PROGRESS!

  134. When you goggle search just “predatorswatch” it doesn’t show up in the results however if you goggle the name “predatorswatch.com” the page still currently shows up! “The .COM” still can be searched. If somene just simply puts the .com next to the predatorswatch name, the website still comes up. If anyone types anybody’s email on google search their email and personal info along with their photo on goggle preview still appears listed on the Predatorswatch.com website!

  135. today at 1pm my info was gone even in google but yehoo and brig still up but no pic or email by it seem my report did something as wall as the rest

  136. look like my info back up yay i think he is being hack atm but What can we do to get this stuff off the site for good or atless we can group up and sue him? any one knows

  137. Their just going to keep on coming back and forth, up and down, off and on. We’ll never really get rid of that site. We can only really contain it by shutting them down whenever they get on the “new domain server of the day” that name is just a fungus that really can’t be stopped unless the name gets taken by a legit source or blacklisted. That name has to be taken by someone else and turned into a construction site so that it can’t be used for that scam site. The owner(s) should all be arrested and throw away the key! lol

  138. hi people, please be vigilant we’ll all keep running the following:

    http://cisko.fr/

The more of us run it the more the site will stay inoperative and no one can access it. Google and the FBI are both looking into this together. The site will be stopped, but we must do our part and work together. Otherwise they’ve won and we can’t let that happen. I’m running the program just as much for all of you as I am myself.

    http://cisko.fr/

  139. I GOT SCAMMED. I AM HELLA WORRIED . CAN SOMEONE HELP ME GET RID OF MY IMAGE ON GOOGLE AND EMAIL FROM FROM THE WEB SEARCH? WHAT DO I DO!!!

    1. before posting read this thread, follow all the steps: call local police who will direct you to internet fraud bureau, file an ic3-link above, emails to google for copyright infringement/defamation/phishing complaint, run the cisko.fr, call rapid ssl customer service and tell them you want to complain, complain to the web host, there are literally several things to do so get crackin. if you pay they will keep extorting money from you.

  140. website has been down a couple of days now(Iv’e been checking) how do you get your email address or name off the search engines any help would be appreciated

    1. contact google, read this thread there is information above as to the specific steps email addresses you need to contact.

  141. I hate to tell everyone this but the site Predatorswatch.com most likely will not be going away due to the fact that they always switch servers. They might be down for a few days but they always seem to be back up. Nobody hold your breathe on this site being officially down forever. The only way that this site can be totally taken down is if all the information about the site and stuff is seized by the feds and so forth. I just don’t see that site fully going away anytime soon so please people don’t put all of your energy into this because you will only be disappointed in regards to the short term outcome.

    1. Might be true, but in the mean time keep running

http://cisko.fr/ every time it comes up. And don’t pay because they won’t take your info down and you’ll just have to keep paying as several people have already mentioned. It’s no big deal to run the above every time the site comes up. And if no one pays they’ll eventually have no cash to keep switching servers.

    2. could you suggest more short term advice then on how to get the feds to take it down? I believe if enough of us file
http://www.ice.gov/exec/forms/hsi-tips/tips.asp, AND call our local police AND file a complaint with the customer service as Rapid SSL AND contact google AND contact our credit card companies to notify them that their cards are authorized for this extortion scam well that will create the pressure the FEDS need to have the site taken down. As wikiprobe already pointed out the feds are on the case. Right now is precisely the time to take decisive action and gain momentum. Please anyone read this thread and you will find the emails and phone numbers of everyone you need to contact.

  142. If predatorswatch.com is just taking photos without the person in the pictures consent then that is without a doubt STEALING! Feds take them AWAY AND LOCK THOSE THEIFS UP!

  143. You can control your online reputation, with some help.

XVIO http://www.xvio.com is a leader in reputation management. With over 10years of experience in branding and online reputation management.

    Why you should worry-
Being posted on this predator watch can be extremely detrimental to your reputation- for some, when doing a google search of their name, the results showed predator watch among the top links pages 1, 2 and 3. Results like these can be picked up by “background check and other aggregated people-search sites making it more likely to be seen by friends, co-workers, employers, family or anyone looking.

I can help you – email me
    Your friend,
    Benton

    email: [email protected]

  144. And the next predator for the right amount of cash will clean up you reputation. And those people whom doing the background checks are idiots….I am stunned. And this story just will never ends…

  145. So he found a new host….

  147. What’s the point of even putting any of the contact info on the sites responsible for predatorswatch.com because it’s never going to be taken down especially if their letting like these third world country’s host the domain server. Their’s like no point in trying anymore or putting anymore energy into bringing these idiots down because their like a fungus that just does not want to end. The feds obviously don’t care if the site stays up or not because they would actually do something about it if they cared. Goggle and all of the other search engines don’t care because if they cared they would block all search results for predatorswatch and they would and get rid of all images associated with predatorswatch profiles of people whom have been scammed.

PREDATORSWATCH IS STEALING PEOPLE’S PHOTO’S AND IDENDITY AND HOSTING IMAGES AND INFO ABOUT INNOCENT PEOPLE AGAINST THEIR WILLS!!! EVERYONE ON THAT SITE HAS TO STOP CARING SO MUCH BECAUSE THAT SITE IS NOT EVER COMING DOWN!!! BECAUSE THE LAW IS NOT BEING ENFORCED FOR PREDATORSWATCH ON THEIR CRIMINAL AND EXTEME MALICIOUS ACTIVITIES!!!

  148. The site was up for a day..Google delisted them as is. No worry folks all eyes are on this website. Google knows what this guys are up to as you can tell as someone complained, they removed the listing on the fly. No more investigations, delays. Yes the Nigerian “gentlemen” is trying but his days with this site is over. All he can do is find servers from all over the world, but the listing is getting removed as it comes in. Money! All source of evil is money! The dude is not thinking how many lives he could destroy , innocent peoples getting the write ups. And how can anyone take this seriously when extortion is the underlying motive.Well last night the site was up. This morning is completely delisted GONE! His luck finally run out.

  149. Since the site predatorswatch.com is possibly finally down, when do all of our photo’s,email info, and other personal info get removed from Goggle search results? Is it still possible that Predatorswatch.com will just move to another server host once again or is the name and website finally Blacklisted? Thanks to that stupid site predatorswatch.com all of our photos are currently still available for view on Goggle Search images!!! Hopefully this is the last we hear of these thugs from predatorswatch.com, I personally would like to see know that the site is gone everyone involved in keeping the site predatorswatch up arrested and sent to federal prison for a real long time!!!!

  150. Friends, yes, we have made amazing progress as the site is hardly running. But it IS BACK. and it will continue to show up –even just the link showing up has incredibly defamatory untrue information. Please read the portions of this thread to run the cisko blocker, send your complaints to google, icv, call the police, etc. etc. as you will find all the links above. It is crucial at this point especially to just maintain the pressure so that the site is eventually down for good. Also, call Rapid SSL, your credit card companies, etc. etc.

  151. OK folks…i had complained to Google. I f you report the website under the copyright laws…

In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org.

Google have removed my name and picture. If you go a few page forward the dude has hundreds of listing of the accused.. Each listing is one person. Luckily Google removed my page…..I seen several of this removed pages , so write to them and tell Google you are to copyright holder for the original image, and you can prove it . I have the 5MB version of the image he listed. That is plenty of proof. The Google contact info is listed on several threads.

    1. Victory, that was great advice and I followed it and google removed it, but then that ass-hole went and put it back up again when he changed servers. That said, everyone needs to keep complaining to google so that if enough people post we can put pressure from all sides. Fortunately no one can open the links if we all run cisko and crash the site. Remember, the more of us run it, the faster it will crash completely!!!

    2. Complaining to Google only addresses a small part of the issue. What about Yahoo or Bing or the million other search enginea out there. The only way this situation is going to get resolved is if the hardware is seized by the feds.

  152. As it looks like it we got a nationwide problem. Here is a copycat…or maybe the same owner? Wondering who is the owner of this site? I bet it is the same Nigerian [email protected]@le

  153. keep it up guys!! we’re all running cisko and they have to keep switching servers!!! just keep it up don’t stop! they’re never going to get another cent!

  154. Hey, listen to me…yeah YOU predatorswatch.com site CUNTFUCKER! We’re never going to pay you! In fact FUCKFACE people can’t access your site so they can’t even pay you if they wanted to!!!!!!!! We’re going to run you into the ground. And then we’re going to have you locked up and then you’re going to know what sexual offence is all about as you are repeatedly abused over and over and over again. TRUST ME. I just got contacted by the FBI and they know who you are…..!!!!!!!!

  155. The new host is in Australia. I just wrote to them . Would be nice if other people would write too….How could we run up his server cost? Anyone has a program what could log in and out of his site automatically?? Every log in would cost him money. I did it manually like a hundred times but if we would have a script…Anyone knows how to do that?

  159. Everyone who fell victim to this site. Don’t worry if anyone finds out that your image, name, and personal info our on the site predatorswatch.com just tell the people who question your reputation. Just say that you were hacked, that’s not me it’s just a coincidence, or you can say someone photo shopped my face and put it on a nude body, plus everyone knows that site is a scam anyway! If you can tell someone any or all of those things and not have a care in the world about that site anymore, Then that means you have truly won the battle because you have regained peace of mind! If that site is still up 5 to 20 more years down the line it still shouldn’t worry or bother you because that site really has no proof of that even being you in that photo!

  160. This approach is great for the strong hearted. If anyone finds your image on the site predatorswatch.com just tell them and yourself that is not me, you can tell them hey I was hacked, my image was either compromised or photoshopped on a nude body, you can even say that it’s not your image and that it’s just a coincidence. Their is so many ways that somebody can get through this physiologically if they just put their mind to it! I think that getting passed the whole physiological aspect of your image being on an undesirable website has to play a whole real strong factor in this whole process. Everyone on here just be strong and keep the faith! If you learn not to care then you have truly won this battle and have gained the ultimate feeling of peace and mind!

  161. Have contacted the FTC and about to email RAPIDSSL. lets see what Rapid make of their product being used for a scam.

      1. i’ve also called rapid ssl –you basically talk to a customer service rep but the guy i spoke with gave me an email address to forward to their security/fraud department –you just have to explain the problem to the customer service rep.

  162. alright, so I am young and want to be a teacher for elementary schools when I graduate college, is there anyway that the person who was shutting them down could please keep doing that I have already written to everyone and everything and I am trying to get google to help with removing the website link of mine due to copyright infringement but like I just want them to get my photo off since it is a clear picture of me naked, also does anyone know if there is a way to get it off the first screen or if anyone is a good hacker maybe take their site and change the photos on peoples pages with random things?

  163. Create a text document –> Open –> Insert text below
    cd \
    title Educational DOS script!
    color 4
    echo off
echo starting Program….I don’t take responsibility in your criminal record you may or may not receive.
    ping -n 3 localhost >null
echo Make sure you changed (Target) to the ip your testing on…
    ping -n 3 localhost >null
    :a
    Ping -t -l 50000 predatorswatch.com
    goto a

save as “all files” with .bat extension.
    double click file to run

  164. I think we just run out of luck. The new host is from Malaysia. I wrote to them and they don’t even bothered to write back..The only hope is the authorities now….

  165. Oh yeah the hackers…I had some thats about that last night and i was looking at some sights. BUT>>>> Here is the problem . I am positive the Ahole has backups. Means even if you hack and delete ALL his data he will just restore it from the back up drive . So i left that thougt alone. We have no choice beside to wait and see. Texas AG is filing a lawsuit as we speak.Wondering you have to be a Texas resident to join in on it? And this is our best hope for now i hate to admit it.

  166. Hey JL, this cisko site is not working anymore?? I swear it’s getting close to about time to visit Michael Douchebag King in Florida in person pretty soon… He WILL end up in prison, with as many sites he has been responsible for it is just a matter of time.

  167. so there is no way to shut down his website now? like the cisko isnt working anymore? Cause it must cost a decent amount to put it up constantly right? is there another way to do the cisko thing? But I wish we could just do the hacker thing and then have the guy totally mess with the website and do so much stuff that getting it back would be really hard and take a while to do.

  168. i fell like the easiest thing will be to get rapid ssl to decline them service, let’s direct our energies there! everyone/call, write to rapid ssl

  169. I will call Rapid SSL tomorrow. As i said the hacker thing would be great but i am hundred percent positive he got backups. So all he would do is restore the files. He’s server is from Malaysia so he is going around the world. As it looks like it those guys whom hosting just don’t give a shit, never even bothered to write me back..Rapid SSL would be our last hope ? But either way wouldn’t hurt to deface his site. Now i am not sure who is the owner. Some of you says he is in Miami , with his girlfriend..the others says he is in LA a Nigarian guy..i am kind of confused on this.

  170. Thank you so much for calling the ssl people, we really need to get this stuff taken down, and could we try the cisko again?

      1. How could we run up his expense? Cisko could crash it yes…but he gets charged by the hits…how could we make that more expensive? Or Cisko do that too in the same time??

  171. It’s says that the site predatorwatch.com is set to expire on November 9th 2013. Does that mean that the site will be down forever after that date? Or will that site be renewed and continue to be an active threat?

    1. Unfortunately he could renew it as long as he likes it to…The Texas AG is finally after the site but who knows how long it will takes.

      1. OK folks. Talk to a gentlemen at Rapid. Sent him all the info he said he will immediately forward it to the security department. So let sit tight and wait. I could list his email but no point , i sent him all the links about the asshole so no need further explanation.

  172. He is getting more bold as well, now he is spamming people he got with fake hotmail women asking ” You’re on online predator? is this you?”

  173. Yep got taged today by the michelle saw my reply .in 2013 there is so many people that can not take this pressure in life and probably have tryed or killed there self from this asshole or when it does happen this owner of site should be prosecuted to full of eveybody that has had issues . I work for department of defence and single father and just trying to get a legit date . They better get this site down and erased before somebody gets hurt or killed

  174. Well hopefully now that Craigslist is using an email relay system to keep posters and responders from knowing each other’s real email addresses until and unless those two people choose to share it with each other, this will cut down on this scamming asshole’s business. Regardless, always, ALWAYS use a special email address for CL with no identifying information associated with it. (The CL relay email will still show whatever display name you have associated with your email address so that could still get you busted by PredatorsWatch.com.) So awful. I met a perfectly good guy who has a lot going for him through CL and his name, photo, and email are on that stupid site for all to see. 🙁

    1. Actaully that is how crappy this POS site is. Saw a listing that used the anonymous Craigslist email address. So they are not even filtering the data, just posting what ever email address they get.

  175. lol. just found out i’m on there. like i even give a fuck ahahahaha. the funny thing though is…what’s the point of the website if everyone knows it’s a scam? i don’t care that i’m on that site when anyone with two bits of intelligence would know it’s all a scam anyway lol. predatorwatch or whatever it’s called now would only be effective if people actually believed the content. looks like mike king needs to move onto a scam that’s actually gonna work lol. seems like he’s wasting his time at this point.

    1. All great..i am positive many people already reported the mofo. But how many reporting it would take and how many agencies to shut this website down? What kind of proof they need? The info about it is all over the net…Just wondering….

  176. I THINK THAT ANY A-HOLE WHO IS STUPID ENOUGH TO PAY EVEN ONE FUCKING DOLLAR TO THIS B.S. WEBSITE IS GUILTY OF SOMETHING AND DUMB ENOUGH TO TRY SOMETHING. I GOOGLED UP AND DOWN AND COULDN’T FIND MY NAME LINKED WITH THIS DAMN WEBSITE! SUCH BULLSHIT!!!!!!! I PRAY THAT THESE SPAMMERS GET THEIR HANDS, BALLS AND PUSSIES CUT OFF AND UNABLE TO USE THEM IN ANY WAY. THEN ALL WOULD BE RIGHT WITH THE WORLD.

  177. WHERE DOES THE SHIT SAY THIS FUCKING WEBSITE WILL BE TAKEN DOWN??????????????????? I LIVE IN FLORIDA.. WISH I LIVED NEAR THIS ASSHOLE’S ADDRESSES… I’D VISIT HIM AND WE COULD TALK!!!!!!!!

  178. I complained to google and my information was taken down, is there a possibility I will have to do it again if they change servers? Also I will complain to all the agencies listed in this page this coming week. I am not very tech savvy however I think it would be beneficial to have a real website put up to expose this one as this is the only site I see an active form with users trying to rid themselves of this. I’m sure more people are affected than those on this form, and the majority probably have no idea they are even showing up on google searches.

    1. yes, it comes back up every time they change servers. run cisko with the rest of us, and make sure to follow all the steps like filing n ic3.gov, calling rapid ssl etc. etc.

  179. can we all go to this site cisko.fr and have it set on his website so that we can get it down and make it so that even with it coming up in searches that they can’t open the pages. And yeah please keep reporting this stuff and the guy :/

  180. There are many more search engines than just Google, so that doesnt help your problem at all. Yahoo and Bing continued to show my info in the search results even after predatorswatch had been down for 6 days. They had come down off of Google after about 3 or 4 days. Plus, people who do background checks might use some other type of software completely. The only way to resolve this is to seize the hardware. Everyone must continue to report and hassle the necessary agencies. IC3.gov should have taken care of this already, and its pretty disappointing that nothing has been done. Ive been dealing with this problem since mid-December. They really need to get off their rear ends.

  181. We need to get Anonymous involved in this. They are some of the best hackers on the face of this planet and I am sure they would be able to handle this shit no problem.

  182. Ill bet if if a brilliant haker or many of them went and put very important e mail addresess in predatorswatch they would move faster ! If it isn’t there life getting destroyed there not in a hurry .

  183. If enough people contact your local news, it may create the investigation needed to shut this fraudulent company down like others have been done before.

  184. Not sure if it’ll make it work any better, but I am using a couple proxys to run three Cisko.fr at once. Hey, it’s an idea.

    1. Yes, It does make it work better, however, it starts to cut into your OWN bandwidth supplied by your Internet service provider. Works much better if a few dozen people are running it at the low/normal setting on their individual computers. Also makes it damn near impossible for the host server to block incoming requests from your ISP. Safety in numbers.

  185. Doesn’t look like running Cisko.fr isn’t making much of an impact. Only sure thing to do is to have this guy busted and the hardware removed but Im sure he’s smart and kept his data offshore somewhere around the world….I’ve learned my lesson that its never smart to pass a picture along…but Im lucky that I blacked out my facial features in my picture even though I was NEVER nude in my picture. I passed along my picture after He/She asked for it after we had arranged a public place to meet to receive $$$ for some used furniture that I was trying to sell on Craigslist. Never again. Bastard is just trying to scam people out of money regardless of where he got the pictures from to finance his lifestyle in Florida. Hopefully the Attorney Generals around the country will wise up and take legal action at the blackmail he’s doing.

  186. does anyone know ANYONE at google or law enforcement who can take care of this, i mean seriously somewhere, someone? it’s ridiculous this can even happen.

  187. The apache server is up but is now displaying the default web page.
Their box has some issues handling nmap…it no likey and the site was available on the 443 but ssh was unavailable…sneaky fucks. It’s really fun playing with their shiat.
    (124.217.250.443)
The site is currently disabled and this is most likely due to team work. Great job fellas! This site is worse than Westboro. Evil!

“Do or do not. There is no try” – Master Yoda

  188. Great Job guys! I would run cisko too, but I only have one laptop that the entire family uses which makes it impossible. Cisko definitely works. My concern, are we the only people doing anything about this or is IC3, FCC, FBI, police, google, etc doing anything? Hard to tell if they are doing anything or not. I did get a spam email from the losers. Seems like they should be traceable somehow. If they are posting on craigslist, putting up websites, or spamming emails, somehow, someway that activity should be able to be traced to whomever is doing this. In any case, the site is down, for the sixth time, and I appreciate all that people are doing on here!!

  189. Anonymous (group) would be an excellent concept if they could put that site under in many different ways. I bet they could do something like a keychain hack so that the site could never go up or they could just totally deface the shit out of their page and put like maybe some funny cartoon characters or something instead of our profile pics. That Cisko.fr program can only really go so far. I know we need someone like Anonymous to help us and all the other victims of this scam. Our government obviously doesn’t really care if this site stays or goes because if they did they would get rid of predatorswatch.com on their own and put away the slime responsible for all of this. I’m really not content until that site is gone forever. Is anyone else on the same page as me? They may be down for now but their just going to sneak on another server in a couple of days or maybe a week and just continue to ruin everyones lives.

      1. also, make sure you file your complaints to all the sources like the ic3.gov, fbi, google etc.. there will be a tipping point when enough complaints are in and something will be done. we need to work on ALL fronts.

  190. until we can find a good hacker/hackers or government or anything that will permanently take it down I think our best option is to keep running the cisko and making him pay for new servers since honestly, he can’t keep it up it’ll start costing him money to do this and when that happens he will stop.

  191. This also only seems like really the only forum or site that actually gives a shit. This is like the most active community in regards to this predatorswatch issue. Wikilobe was another site that had a lot of resources on the matter as well as that news guy Isiah Carey who was giving us all the latest updates on the subject matter via News cast. Now it seems that both of those sources have given up on this topic matter. I wish that Dateline NBC and 22/22 did like one hour specials on Predatorswatch.com that would be awesome , I would totally watch that! This is where I got this idea, Everyone should contact different media sources about the predatorswatch.com problem that has been going on and give it some air play so that the whole world is informed about this scam.

  192. Someone Should just take the domain name “predatorswatch.com” when it expires or even try claiming that name in other means and then have the page put under construction or just keep it delisted.

  193. You may be right that he’s content to continue because he’s going to keep the money rolling in doing this. One thing though is that the IRS needs to be notified that he’s scamming people and making money doing that.

  194. It just seems like this might be a big conspiracy if none of these legit agencies are doing nothing about any of this predatorswatch.com fraud shit! It’s almost like they don’t care or want to put any of their precious energy into actually maybe doing their fucking jobs for once and taken action by taking down this crime syndicate.

    1. Well the loser is a professional con man, and he has everything overseas. I think I even read that the actual hardware is in Antarctica. I dont know if thats true or not, but he clearly has not made it easy for anyone to make a seizure. Our government cant just storm into some other country and start seizing other people’s personal property. Even if they could, they move so slow as it is. When you then add another government into the mix, and all that red tape… sheesh… Thats what makes this scam work. I do think that the problem would be taken more seriously if someone important got up there.

  195. You dont need hackers/crackers or anything of the sort. Use some basic social engineering. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

If he puts up a site, find out who is on the board for that company, download his picture and email address. Post him as a predator. Bet the site will come down quick.

If that does not work, send a request to abuse@whateverhost and question if every person on that site showing off their junk is of legal age. Can the owner of the site prove that? Then claim to be 13. See how fast it comes down.

No need to use the fed, or any other agency to do the work for you. Use the basic fears of any corporation (and trust me they are all very similar). You can outsmart this kid no matter where he runs to, what host or country he decides to hide under for two days. Chase chase chase.

    Shit aint that hard. Really..

His name servers are still hosted at:

    as6453.net

and they are still running. That is TaTa Communications. A very large corporation. Bug the SHIT out of abuse and the NOC. Both have numbers and emails listed there. If they de-linked his site, remind them of the DNS still being hosted there.

Jebus stand up for yourself, he is not smarter than you. If he strikes one way (putting the site back up), then you strike back another way. Nobody needs to have some uber skills to take this down, just a bit of smarts.

    1. thanks man, we need your help. he’s gone and posted the images all over the web now as well. it’s still linked to predator’s watch but before the images didn’t come up on their own, now they do. please EVERYONE follow Oliver’s advice.

    2. Ummm… This is what we’ve been doing for 4 months now, and it only has limited and temporary success. Sure he might get shut down for a couple of days, but it always comes back under some new host. Keep in mind that this site was called Potential Predators before it turned into Predatorswatch, and also The Online Watch. Its the same damn site with a new title. If you think that phone calls and emails are going to stop this guy, you’re nuts. Its a freakin crime ring that has ties in the Netherlands and here in the USA… and so far, it looks like they’re quite a bit smarter than the rest of us. We’re the one’s whining, and they’re the ones laughing all the way to the bank.

  196. If he comes back on line we have to act as a community. “Fire the hole”. No company liked to be bombarded . What he is doing is illegal to the core, so we got to fight back in any meaning in our arsenal. Finally the hosting company will get tired of him and send him away. They will question it why this .com is getting the heat. As some of you pointed out, one wont do much, five is great 10 is even better. Eye for an eye. Crash the sucker.Fire the hole…Ha…

    1. i’ve sent emails to Rapid SSL, google, the server, all again. Please everyone do the same. Thanks. I feel the main line of attack is rapid SSL, they can’t legally be involved in displaying child porn. I think Oliver was EXACTLY right when he said we need to indicate that there is child porn on this site because many of the lewd images are of underage people (there is no way of verifying otherwise and this is indeed true). Remember, we MUST emphasize that this site is displaying sexual pictures of underage minors.

  197. Here’s the online submission form for sales inquiries at Rapid SSL. Fill it out and tell them everything. How they are abetting an extortion scam which has not only stolen your information but contains TONS of underage children in sexually compromised scenarios. Here’s the page, call as well. If they get enough complaints they will withdraw their service and it will be very tough for predatorswatch to get a company to facilitate their extortion scams

    http://www.rapidssl.com/contact/sales/index.html

  198. just checked the site, google says it can’t find it lol. doesn’t bring up a cached version of it either.

and i tried submitting mike king’s information to his own site…it wouldn’t let me lol. pretty smart there. i’ll find some contact information listed for him though that’s not blocked…

  199. Just wondering…RapidSSL already knows about this scam. I wrote to them sent them the URL for the YouTube video and ALL other links. So don’t bother to tell them about the underage thing. We will look funny. If they watched the video they know it has nothing to do with underage kids. I sent them the Goggle search link where 500 link came up including this one on top..So if rapid not pulling the certificate they are aiding and abetting crime as they know it now the intention of Preditorwatch. Now, we could sue RapidSSL as they are providing the capabilities for the site after we warned them , (extortion and blackmail) and so as the YouTube video talking about the Texas lawsuit. I think this should be in off for them . The site is done so i think just sit tight and see what plays out of it.

  200. Folks, to block the website (shut the website down)

    Run:

    http://cisko.fr/

Input the following website into Step 1:

    https://predatorswatch.com/

If you’re running this program from a CABLE modem, set the optional setting to “100” requests per second.

    Step 3:

Hit the blue button. Pay no attention to the number “Requested” and “Failed”.

By performing this task — correct me if I’m wrong JL and others — you should be able to open up a new webpage and see that the website is no longer working.

Everyone needs to run this in order for it to work effectively. It doesn’t take more than 5-7 days of inactivity
for Google, Yahoo!, and all other Search Engines to de-list the pages and all content from their servers.

Please note that if you’re running this program on Windows with practically ANY virus protection software, a warning will come up about using this program. Go ahead and run the program, it will not harm your computer.

As I’ve said in prior posts, this tool is well-documented and should only be used for situations like this one.

Would be nice if someone more local to this problem would take care of it the old fashioned way… until then, please keep it firing. If you find the tool is no longer working, please post a message on this website and we’ll figure out a solution.

    Cheers

  201. Anon,

As far as I can tell, over the last few weeks, we have been winning. He can change the site, he can move, but all at an expense. Eventually, the risk out weighs the reward. Be diligent. If you dont pay, those scales tip in your/our favor.

The only ring I care about is the one around his ass, where my boot will be squarely pointed.

  202. Answer this question. How did his other site under the name “Potential Predators” last? and didn’t it in fact get shut down by a court order. Well he basically came back but just under the name “predatorswatch” and did not obey the previous court order enforced upon him, he should be sued and arrested for not obeying. Everyone on this site should complain to the judge about Potentialpredators coming back under a new name and doing the same scams.

    1. Mike,

Please research the case and see if you can find any useful information to use for shutting down this new site. If you can present a plan here that’s easy to execute, we can quickly take action and shut down this site.

      Thanks.

ps. I’m working on this from a server-end… I will be flooding the website with so much useless data that they host will invariably shut the website down or demand the web manager pay for more bandwidth. Either way, it’s a win.

  203. Maybe perhaps someone from the website 4chan.org/ could help us out in taking down the website predatorswatch.com you know seeing that this bastard doesn’t want to go down easy and maybe it’s about time maybe some of us talk to some people in a 4chan forum to try to dismantle this piece of garbage’s website for good!

    1. Tim,

Please initiate a post on http://www.4chan.org/ and create a follow-up link here. I would but I’m not familiar with the forum. A simple “here is what you do” would be helpful.

If you create the post I’ll be more than happy to bump it.

      Thanks.

  204. I’m trying to view PredatorsWatch website and I can’t get onto it at all…even the cached version is gone. any ideas guys?

      1. JL,

Keep flooding the site using JS LOIC. I run mine non-stop on a dedicated computer.

Yahoo!, Google, and other search engine ‘crawlers’ update once every 5 to 7 days. This means that if the website was crawled on Sunday morning, your image and all predators watch links should be de-listed when you search your name.

        Best.

  205. We just have to keep fighting this guy and his site predatorswatch, because you know what he does, he plays little mind games with everybody. he has the server to the site shut off for a few days to a week and then he just comes back up conveniently before Goggle does their web crawl so that all of our images are available to still view. That site is not going away most likely never. The only way that site goes away for good is if (a) He gives up and stops hosting it forever which might not ever happen (b) The feds wise up and seize all of his data with a court order and he gets a bunch of fines and prison time, which I don’t think will ever happen either because the government would actual have to care about are well being. and last but not least (c) Someone hacks predatorswatch and the people behind that site and start making their lives a living hell and then they shut down the site and after the site is shut down the hackers still make their lives a living hell kinda like what predatorswatch did to all of us. Right now for myself and most likely a lot of others it goes beyond what that moron has done to us, I don’t only want to see his site get shut down for good, I want to see HIM SUFFER IN PRISON FOR THE REST OF HIS STINKING LIFE, I’M TALKING GENERAL POPULATION WHERE WHEN HE DROPS THE SOAP HE WILL BECOME SOMEBODY’S LITTLE BITCH!

  207. ……This means that if the website was crawled on Sunday morning, your image and all predators watch links should be de-listed when you search your name, sometime this weekend.

Forgot to end my thought. 😉

  208. Hi, Neat post. There’s a problem with your web site in web explorer, may check this? IE still is the marketplace chief and a large component to people will leave out your fantastic writing because of this problem.

  209. I need some advice. A few weeks ago I requested a DCMA take down of my image (on predatorswatch) through google. Not only did they deny my request, but now google has made my request public information. Now when I google my real name a link shows up that I did a copyright removal request. Clicking on that link takes you to a google webpage called a transparency report which lists my real name and the website (predatorswatch). I would really prefer for this not to show up. I have tried to contact google, and did a webpage cache removal request, all with no luck. The problem is I would rather my name and this site not appear on the net. And since google owns the transparency report, I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Google always says to contact the webmaster of the site you wish to change or remove. In this case google themselves is the webmaster, but like I said I cannot seem to contact them in any way. I feel like I should have not done the DCMA take down request (or at least used my real name). Any ideas?

    1. This is just crazy on Google’s part. I cant believe they do that. The only way I would think this could get removed is if you talk to someone with Google directly. Id try to contact them the same way you did when you originally made the request, or better yet… get on the phone and talk with someone… even if they send you to 20 different people. Google is participating in the slander. I did see a “counter-notification form” in their FAQ’s section of the transperancy report. Who knows what info they’ll post for all the world to see there too. Id get on the phone. Sorry to hear about this problem. Sucks….

  210. If i calculated well RapidSSL may pulled his site security certificate by now. Rapid got the idea by now what is the site all about. I am positive there would be no grand announcement if it indeed happened.

    1. Victory,

I would like for that to be true. However, I’ve got a program that’s blocking the website right now running. I started it Monday morning when I noticed it was still up and running.

I still get the occasional email “Hey, is this you…”

Please run the (http://cisko.fr/) program I have mentioned up above. The site may be down when you attempt to load it on your web browser, but it is still accepting requests for data, otherwise my program would indicate otherwise.

      Cheers.

      1. Dear Annoyed,

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I too am running cisko, thanks for running the program though. Honestly, my friend this has damaged my life. I’m just a grad student and had a job interview and the whole time I was deathly afraid that the interviewer might have googled my name and even if they couldn’t open the site, they still see my name and the google image comes up if they google my name. It has pushed me towards me quite a depression (something to which I have always been susceptible) so I thank anyone who is making an effort to have this terrible site stopped.

  211. Well my email address is off Google and Bing at the moment, but still showing up on Yahoo. We’ll see how long this lasts. Not holding my breath….

  212. the listing is 100% gone. Predatorswatch is delisted as of now on Google.. Good work everyone. In my old country there is a saying .
“Many goose will beat a pig”. We did it so carry on my friends.

      1. JL,

Keep Cisko running. It’s multiple users efforts that are actively keeping this website ‘offline’ during your job search. The website is still accepting data requests, therefore it’s not off the grid yet.

        Thanks.

  213. Why our some of our email addresses still appearing on that website with our photo on Google search? Is it just because Goggle still has to do a web crawl? I don’t think this is the end of that website, I think he’s just laying low for a while until our guards are down again. He always puts the site back up when we least expect it. I mean granted it’s just terrific that the site is delisted but how do we know thats it’s just a server issue and maybe it might come back up with all of the data that he possibly saved or go under a different website name? Guys we still have to spread the word on this scam artist. I hope he gets arrested, sued, and serves lots of time behind bars!

  214. The website is STILL operational. It is being blocked because a small number of us are running the JS LOIC program mentioned above.

I am still bombarding their server with requests to block the website. The minute we stop running the program, the website will re-appear.

If anything, the owner of the site is doing absolutely nothing. Once a website is listed by a host, there is little to do other than sit back and watch.

In the meantime, those who have been exploited by this problem should assist in the same capacity. When a new website appears, this is going to be your only solution. Clearly the authorities are no use. None of you have received a legitimate response to your protests — I know, because I haven’t.

  215. Their are two problems with that program. (1) People are going to get either lazy or think that the site is really down for good and stop using it because they will have their guards down once again (2)The site might come back up but just on a different server soon.

    1. Re: Their are two problems with that program…

      (1) Yes.
      (2) Absolutely.

However, the program does more than simply block the website from the crawling eyes of Google. It sends a tremendous amount of data (particularly when many users are using JS LOIC simultaneously) to the web host.

So you understand the importance of doing this: data being sent to a server eats up precious server hard drive space. The more useless data is sent to the server, the less interested they are in hosting a given website — or they start charging the website owner.

These two factors are what prevent future occurrences. A scam is only as good as it can be performed. If a website is blocked, there is no money. If the website is being blocked by enough users, the scam artist is now being scammed.

I don’t say IF, but rather WHEN future websites pop up releasing your image, email address, and name in a slanderous fashion, this is your only recourse.

Keep it running. In the meantime, I’m sure the problem will take care of itself. Scam artists always get what’s coming to them.

  216. Lets not paint the devil on the wall…it will may appear! As i said RapidSSL got notified. They know the full lowdown on Preditorswacth. Now if they still not revoking their certificate, they are just as liable as they are facilitating the existence of a website like this. They can’t deny it “we didn’t know” as i have the email to them , so as the phone record. I called them, and emailed everything. So it will be a lot harder just to find a new host at this point. And the Texas guys are after him anyway. So lets chill and see where it will go….

  217. I will continue all such efforts, I have also notified Rapid SSL, Google, the FBI etc., I even filed the Texas Attorney form. And I am running cisko.fr consistently.

  218. If this guy wanted to keep the site up, he could. I seriously doubt you are causing that much of anything with your ‘program’.

Exploits and vulnerabilities can be patched and repaired. Pipes can be filtered for certain types of traffic.

Read below, the last sentence should be particularly interesting to any of you running this. Being as you are not really attacking the website, but the pipe it lays on. Might get you into some trouble at the same time. Play smart.

Security experts quoted by the BBC indicated that well-written firewall rules can filter out most traffic from DDoS attacks by LOIC, thus preventing the attacks from being fully effective.[6] Specifically, it has been claimed that filtering out all UDP and ICMP traffic helps to address LOIC attacks in an efficient way.

[7] However, the firewall rules need to be entered upstream, e.g. at the ISP of the site operator, where the backbone is converted to the server’s broadband line. If the packets still have to travel through the server’s limited line, then filtering the packets at the firewall level is not a valid deterrence, since the packets still have to travel to the firewall before the firewall can do anything to the packets, and the line between the server’s ISP and the server’s firewall will be clogged.[7]

LOIC attacks are easily identified in system logs, and the attack can be tracked down to the IP addresses used at the attack.[8]

  219. Oliver,

Your points well-expressed, but unfortunately you’re missing some vital information.

By your own account [a source taken from the JC LOIC wikipedia.org page] the ‘well written firewall rules’ are effectively useless due to the fact that the bogus requests — which JC LOIC happily provides — ‘still have to travel through the server’s limited line…’ and as a result, ‘the line between the server’s ISP and the server’s firewall will be clogged’ still.

    You said it yourself.

The proof is in the pudding. If you quote the rest of the wikipedia article, it states that large, orchestrated attacks have been performed against some of the the largest Internet sites on the planet, and they were successful, using JC LOIC.

And yes, the LOIC attacks CAN be identified in system logs. And just as soon as a web host sends me a legitimate seize-and-desist letter, I shall provide them with my attorney’s phone number and commit to a counter suit for libel, defamation, extortion, and wasting my time.

Keep LOIC running. Eventually the rat will give up and attempt another scam. Your only defense is you, if you’re not interesting in defending yourself, that’s your prerogative.

    Best.

  220. @oliver…i completely agree with you…but just wondering when someone attacks Preditorswatch, and even the IP address would be tracked down….he would press charges? I am just saying..Would be incredibly funny, more like laughable…Ha

  221. Its not him that would press charges. It would be the host or the ISP that you are attacking. See he rents that bandwidth or server space from somebody. Part of the charge he pays is for 100% uptime. That is achieved by maintaining the circuit. Now that circuit may or may not have multiple paying customers on it depending on the situation and the configuration of the network.

So its not him you need to worry about, but the corporation that owns the circuit or the rack space. As you are really just attacking them.

Similar to being pissed at a bad driver, but when he pulls over for gas, instead of yelling at him, you disable the entire Chevron station.

Be smart, attack smart. This is a OLD vulnerability. Most likely any network worth a damn is filtering this DOS.

    1. “It’s not him that would press charges. It wouldbe the host or the ISP that you are attacking.”

      I agree. 100%

And when it comes to Copyright Liability, servers are just as liable. If they (the server) ever contact me, I will finally have the power to reveal (via legal process) WHO uploaded the server content and from WHERE. These are the two connections that must be made in order for the police or anyone else to take charge. As of now, we’re pointing our fingers at a non-entity.

      See: http://bitlaw.com/internet/isp.html

      —-

LOIC works. It’s peaceful protest by it’s most serious legal implications.

  222. Packet monkeys love to feel as if they are really doing something in this world. You are using an exploit, that can be patch and fixed at any time. My point is, when this repaired or patched or filtered – what will you do THEN!?

No matter how you cut it, thats a half measure.

    1. 1/2 measure… sure, agreed again. Offer me a more realistic solution that isn’t completely illegal and I’m with you. In the meantime, the packet monkeys are keeping your image, email, and name off the ole’ Google.

      Enjoy.

  223. I suggest, rather than running this lil ‘program’.

Stop running it, port scan the box, find an open port. EXPLOIT IT.

If not that, brute force your way in. Enough people throwing passwords at that – somebody will gain root eventually.

Denial of Service is gay and lame. Attack in a way that can produce real results.

    1. You say don’t use method (a) because of the legal implications, than you suggest method (b) which is highly illegal, not to mention a complete waste of time.

You’re not hacking into the computer with the original source material, you’re instead hacking into a server with a copy of the source material — a server run by a corporation.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but breaking and entering is not the same as a protest with signs and banners preventing free & mobile entrance.

Wrong suggestion, not to mention completely out of the domain of the average user on this message board,

  224. Does it make sense that a very large provider such as TaTa Communications would allow their pipe to be destroyed consistently for over a week? Do you think they would allow an attack to go on with out filtering that data type out?

Lets ask the right questions to lead to LOGICAL answers.

    1. Yes it does. And as you would know if you followed this thread from Day 1, users have filed complaints with host servers and made them aware of the presence of illegal content (Copyright infringement), and illegal/unethical actions by its web manager to inflict fraud and deceit among it’s users.

A LEGITIMATE company would have the means to block the small handful of us running LOIC. No legitimate company is willing to host this scumbag. Use your logic, and stop pandering to people’s emotions and try offering real, viable solutions.

      Thanks.

  225. Every legitimate company would look at the facts why this .com is being attacked all of a sudden. All they got to do is Google Predatorswatch…and surprise! …what just came up in the search engine. It is all there loud and clear. Top of that many of this hosting companies were warned about the content they are hosting by us. Now i am asking the question after all this time if we would have the right to fight back. And when someone is hosting for hundreds of site and all of a sudden this site getting attack he just stated hosting…2+2=4…So it is common sense .Now it is up to the host..would you like to sue someone or people who attacking a fraudulent.com whom are blackmailing and so on. NOW ..As i was keep on saying it is senseless at this point to do anything beside wait. He is running in to some legal mine field finally.Rapid got the message..and he can’t hide anymore…I hope he hoes to prison for this. Deserve it as he just walked all over us, with complete disregard for many people with families, wifes, kids…and jobs. I hope he will be Bubba’s girlfriend in jail as he deserves to get it just like he did to so many of us.

  226. Yeah Oliver, I mean Mike King, shut the fuck up loser. The program attacks being ran have thus far worked, even if temporary and no legitimate cease / stop orders by the hosts have been sent to anyone utilizing it, as simple research into what customer of theirs is being attacked has thus far instead led them to discontinue doing business with you. Are you lubing up your ass hole yet?? It is going to get penetrated in prison soon enough.

  227. To all of those doing anything about this, (JL, anonymous, Mike) thank you very much. Oliver – I don’t trust you. Join the battler or try to stand in our way. Also update on my transparency report (from google DMCA takedown). I was able to remove the transparency report! Anyone having a problem with this try to send a friendly, clear, and direct email to: [email protected] and [email protected]. I am not sure which one did the trick so try both. Also, using google cache remove, I have been able to remove all traces of my info on predaotrswatch. Feeling good about where things are going. Oliver may try to change that feeling, but that will be as successful as his own attempts to do anything positive. I completely agree with the logic here. Servers can go ahead and sue us for blocking his site, then we counter sue after we receive their (predatorswatch and web host) contact information for posting underage photos online, extortion, scam, and all the rest. Good day folks!

  228. Just makes me wonder…why someone would find a host in India. To service costumers in the US. Tata Communications would give so much better deal? Oh Boy! Yeah right. The other host was from South East Asia. We got plenty of great legitimate companies in the US..small world alright. And one of the saddest thing was to read the panicked wife” My husband is on that list”. And people whom trying to land a job. This potential MO-FO ever even just give a that how many life his scam could destroy? So he can collect 99.99. And people got family’s, kids. And some uncomfortable moments how to explain it to loved ones.
By the way..i would confiscate the lube. No lube! Dry! A prison gang bang! The lube is very generous that even just to offer it by Anonymous.

  229. Thanks to everyone who is keeping LOIC running. We’ve been successful in keeping the website shut down. Any future emails the web master sends out will be met with a link leading to nowhere, and no frightening images creeping up in a Google search. Given a certain amount of time, the guy will move on to other tactics — possibly even start up a NEW website. If this happens, you all know what to do.

I’m keeping mine firing, but if any developments appear, I’ll be sure to come back to this forum. Should a NEW website occur, and you’re one of the current Predators Watch victims, please post a link to this website and any new threads that appear. This will make it easy for us to attack the problem head on.

  230. Just because the site is down or blocked, we all still have to be extremely vigilant. We need to try and have this guy arrested, sued, and prosecuted to the fullest extents of the law! He can not and will not get away with this scott free! He needs to be sent to prison for a real long time. I think we should all continue this forum conversation for the next step which is to try and have that bull shit site shut down for good and that idiot sent to jail and have all of his stuff seized!

  231. He shouldn’t of messed with a stubborn person like myself because I pretty much get what I want and when I want it. I won’t give up on this until that asshole’s site is gone forever, all his data is seized, and him prosecuted and sent to prison for a real long time! Their’s people that you can mess around with and theirs people that you just can’t mess around with. I am one of those people that you just can’t mess around with! I want him arrested and sent off to prison for like 40 to 50 years! for Fraud and extortion!

    1. Everyone here is with you.

There aren’t many legal means to tackle this particular problem, given that the crime is being committed on servers outside the U.S.A. While I’m sure the FBI’s Internet crimes task force has taken an interest in this case, there’s little incentive [for the FBI — or any other authority] to go after the culprit.

IC3 is a worldwide initiative that would ordinarily tackle this problem by banning the website listing (effectively DE-LIST http://www.predatorswatch.com). Unfortunately, that does nothing to stop the criminal from opening a NEW website.

      Some things to consider:

      1) This crime only works if the person opens the email, clicks the link, and then follows up with a Google Search to reveal the extent of the problem. At which point, the person either performs a secondary search, whereby they come across THIS particular threat (or similar), and they DON’T act on the request of the criminal, or they rashly fork over the ~$99 only to find out they’ve been duped.

The latter effect ONLY occurs when the website attacks NEW users. That is, the criminal isn’t interested in attacking the same people over and over. After all, we’ve figured out his scheme and isolated method(s) to counter attack — as in the case of JS LOIC.

More than likely, the criminal is harvesting a fresh batch of victims, who, unlike us, don’t know the problem yet and are unaware of methods to properly blind the website from Googe (et al).

Unfortunate for us, we must keep the JS LOIC firing until the website is off-line (November?); in the mean time, some poor unsuspecting fool will get an email leading to a NEW website offering the same choice. With safety in numbers, the scam will work on a very small number of individuals. Truthfully, ONE person forking over $99 is [more than] enough to cover the server costs. Anyone else who pays makes the scam worthwhile.

The upside is: you’re no longer a victim. After all, you’re smart. You know how to shut down his scam within days. He’s a smart predator, he knows it’s not worth his time to risk going after someone who can bite back.

Given that NONE of the individuals on this thread has received follow-up from any of the legal authorities they’ve filed reports with, I don’t see any means to getting rid of this fellow.

But I am most certainly open to suggestion. 🙂

  232. Folks, I know it’s a pain in the ass, but please keep the following program running:

    http://cisko.fr/

If you’re new to this discussion and are unaware of the fact that the website has NOT been shut down, but rather, blinded from Google because of the combined efforts of a small band of pissed off users (yours truly, anyways), then please read previous posts mentioning this website-program.

It’s really simple, all you do is open up a browser window and input the website: https://www.predatorswatch.com/ into Step 1… then hit the blue button.

Because so many of us are running this program, the website is now accepting requests at a CRAWL (less than once per minute). Please, anyone else who is running this program, back me up.

With a small number of users, LOIC shuts down the website (effectively); larger sums of users will piss off the host server to the point that they will hit DELETE to this particular website.

Thanks everyone and keep a chin up. 🙂

  233. Yahoo is still showing me in their search results even though predatorswatch has been down for over 2 weeks. Google and Bing are clear, but not Yahoo.

  234. Anon,

The site has been down for close to a week. Is it possible that the pages are simply ‘cached’ in your browser? Try conducting a search on a third-party computer and see if the results are the same.

Do the links go anywhere? Is your picture still appearing, or is it simply a ‘predators watch’ link that leads nowhere?

Please specify so we can properly advise.

  235. After two weeks of blissful internet anonymity, to which I owe to the fine fellas on this site (thank you), the email address and picture that these scumbags picked up for unauthorized use on their website, has just returned this morning. The link, however, still does not work, meaning you can’t actually get to the Predator’s Watch website, but the email and my picture show up first hit associated with the Predator’s Watch name. This was not the case the past two weeks. When you did a Google search on the email address, there were no hits and no images. I was hopeful at first, but per many comments here, it was suspected that it was just a matter of time before either the site and/or your pic/email would return.

  236. If you can, please explain the problem in detail. I understand you can’t show us a link, but try to establish facts:

    1) Is the photo linked to PredatorsWatch.com?

    2) Is your email in the link?

    3) What is the nature of this new post?

It seems a number of people are experiencing different things. I’ve just Google’d my information and there is still nothing predators watch related.

Again, please be detailed so that we can isolate the problem.

    Thanks.

    1. Clarification…

My misunderstanding comes from the fact that you’re saying Predators Watch has been added back to Google.

However, when a I perform a search of Predators Watch online, the only links that come up are discussion boards like this one.

Please verify that you’re not viewing a ‘cached’ (saved in your browser) image. I think this may be part of the problem that a few folks are encountering.

      Best.

      1. I’m not seeing anything of mine on Google or Bing. When the site went down around the 7th, my info was removed from those two search engines within 4 or 5 days. Google and Bing are clean for me. That is not the case with Yahoo though. When I type my email address into the Yahoo search engine, the top results are the links to Predatorswatch. Yes, these links are dead… but just what is seen in the search results are bad enough. Predatorswatch doesn’t even have to be active. Yahoo is defaming me with their search results of an illiegal site that has been down for over 2 weeks. The cache has been cleared, and this shows up on multiple computers. That was the basis of my comment on these matters. My info hasn’t come back… Im clean on Google and Bing… but it never left Yahoo, and thats what irks me. In order to truly be clean of this problem, predatorswatch has to be down for a significant amount of time in order to be cleared from every search engine.

  237. Actually you should still use that program http://cisko.fr/ during and after November because a website generally takes up to 6 months to be deleted forever if the web host doesn’t want to renew that website’s name. The web host I believe is given a “grace period” if they chose to renew their Domain name. If they choose not to renew their domain name I believe it takes like 6 months after the expiration date of the expired web domain name to fall into effect. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/domain-name-expired-how-long-until-available.10918/

  238. I noticed a change of status to the PredatorsWatch website today… instead of the usual error message, we now get:

    A Database Error Occurred

    Error Number: 1146

    Table ‘potentia_pred.pp_settings’ doesn’t exist

    SELECT * FROM (`pp_settings`) WHERE `autoload` = ‘1’

    Filename: /home/potentia/public_html/models/settings_model.php

    Line Number: 21

    ***************

Seeing how this could be a sign that the site has been extinguished, I advise stopping on LOIC activity.

There are a number of us monitoring the status of this thing on a daily basis. Simply type the PredatorsWatch.com into the web link and see if the website pops up again.

If [when] it does, commence firing LOIC once more. It could very well be off the map at this point.

Keep in mind: Search engines crawl randomly. If you type PredatorWatch in your browser and discover it’s back up, you can fire off LOIC and it’ll be off within seconds. The probability of search engines ‘crawling’ the website during this modest open window is very low.

    1. To monitor PredatorsWatch without having to open a browser and punch in all this info…

      Go to:

      http://www.dingitsup.com/

This website allows you to input a web address:

      copy paste: http://www.predatorswatch.com/

      And input your email:

You can setup a 3rd party email account if you’re paranoid — after this experience, you ought to be.

If and when this piece of crap website becomes ‘Active’ again, you will be notified immediately via email.

      Thanks everyone!

  239. The site isn’t gone yet. It’s still curently listed on WHOIS. Even after November 9th the webiste predatorswatch can still renew it’s domain name. If they choose not to renew their domain name it take about a month for a domain name to disappear completely.

    http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=predatorswatch.com

    http://support.godaddy.com/groups/domains-management-and-services/forum/topic/how-long-does-it-take-an-expired-domain-to-become-available/

    1. I understand that the website is paid for and still available to use. However, the error message showing up reveals that the source files (database for the website) is missing. This happens when either the host or web manager deletes the website files. It could be a ruse, but if I were the person behind this, I wouldn’t be wasting my time and money trying to keep a website online that has a large angry mob of users ready to pull the [LOIC] trigger and keep it offline.

Theoretically, IC3 has finally cracked down on the host and forced them to delete the site. I am only attempting to understand why the status of the website has changed. I see no reason for the scam artist to remove the files.

  240. Guys , guys…as we said prior he will not be able to get an SSL certificate at this point of time. Rapid canceled him i am pretty sure. Now..Mike King is NOT affiliated with this site. he charges like 600$ to have been deleted from his database. He got a different scam going. We had our guy from Nigeria , who lives in Los Angeles. I am very positive the law finally caught up with him, as the Texas AG is filed a suit and they ordered the server off-line. Otherwise he would have been back by now. Yes his files have been deleted i am sure of that. The info about the site is all over the NET , i don’t think any web master at this point would take a chance for that little money he brings in for them. Sleep well all of you. We did what we had to, i hope he will goes to jail for this, as he humiliated so many people. And even cashed in on it. Oh…his wife should be charged to by the way as an accomplish.

  241. I strongly recommend RETYPING on Goggle Search in the email address that predatorswatch took from all of us maybe like off and on for like a good 2 or 3 years because we don’t know if that scam artist has built up a brand new site or not using the same emails, pics, and info, and just simply changing it to a brand new name ? How do we know he’s not just changing the name right now? Be extremely vigilant people and continue to Goggle Search your emails to see if they built a new site up.

  242. Well, the site has been down for well over a month now! Is this the longest time that this site has been down? Do you think that it’s over for good?

  243. That potentialjohns scam seems like a real weak ass scam because mostly everyone now has cellphones and can very easily change their phone number if they fall victim to this scam . A lot of the phone companies don’t even charge a fee to change your phone number. Any more updates on predatorswatch.com anyone? Are they shut down for good now because it’s now been way over a month?

  244. Reasons not to be concerned about seeing your picture/email popping up again on another website:

    1) The scam only works if you are caught off guard and immediately pay the amount requested on the website to have your profile removed, without performing a search;

    2) Everyone who has been plagued by PredatorsWatch knows exactly how to shut the website down (or at least pull it off the search engines).

Sleep easy. Use “Google Alerts” or other services (FREE) that will notify you promptly when new content surfaces on the web with certain identifiable features (i.e. email address, phone number, etc).

Lesson learned. I’ve shut down my Google profile and killed access to my Facebook profile to all but my friends (and not friends-of-friends).

    1. Perhaps it’s not wise for me to make this observation, but the guy who’s running this website would see much greater financial gain if he simply DE-LISTED profiles people paid to have removed.

Hell, a website that did this same scam, charged users $10.95 to have a web-master remove the page, and then ACTUALLY did it, would probably stand to make a hefty profit. Especially after numerous message board members report that they simply paid to have it go away, and it ended at that, rather than escalating to numerous users putting a blockade against a server.

Fortunately, you can always count on criminals who have this level of smarts to pull their weight in political positions, but I digress.

  245. guys, while predatorswatch does seem down, when i google search my name, my picture still comes up under image search with the link predatorwatch.com. but if you click on it then the link doesn’t work. but i still have this bloody pic of me come up with “predatorswatch” attached to it. How do i get that pic down when there is no site connected to it?

    1. Did the link recently REAPPEAR, or has it been like this for the past month? Mike is right though, if you give Google another 7-10 days, the link should be de-listed since it doesn’t go anywhere. I’m certain you’ve already determined that it’s not a cached link showing up in your browser.

    2. JL –

Did you ever solve the problem with Chilling Effects? My complaint just showed up on the search engine. Please notify me what steps you took to have that information removed/hidden.

      Thanks!

      1. No, the Chilling Effects notice just disappeared. I don’t know what happened. But my pic is still up with the predators watch link, the link is dead, but I still don’t want that picture up. Someone previously said it could be a “cached” picture, but i don’t know what that is. Could someone give me the instructions about how to unchache a picture, or what I should do, thanks.

  246. My name doesn’t pop up on any search results anymore? Your’s does? You must be one of the unlucky one’s that’s profile has not been deleted and is still available for view on Goggle search. If Goggle hasn’t erased and crawled your profile yet, they most likely will never get rid of it, you should try talking with a Goggle agent on the phone. Sorry to hear about that JL, My profile has been deleted and doesn’t show up on any search results. Keep your head up man and don’t make this predatorswatch thing rule your whole entire life, try to move on from it. I know it’s hard seeing your pic under the predatorswatch search results, just try talking on the phone with a live Goggle agent and ask them kindly to re-crawl your image. you will need to give them the link.

  247. Can anyone please advise me what steps that took to have their complaint removed from Chilling Effects website? I’ve already taken some steps, but I want to be sure I’m going about it the right way.

    Thanks.

  248. Their isn’t any steps to REMOVE any complaints from the chillingeffects, sorry dude they have your information forever, I sent them repeated emails and they said to me , due to legal issues they can’t remove any complaints.

    1. In response to an inquiry email in which I kindly asked what steps I would need to take to have my DMCA takedown notice classified as a) confidential or b) removed so that search engines don’t connect my image and name to this problem. I received this response.

      Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Chilling Effects serves as a clearinghouse for cease and desist letters. Our goal is to educate the public about the different kinds of cease and desist letters–both legitimate and questionable–that are being sent to Internet publishers, and to provide as much transparency as possible about the “ecology” of such notices, in terms of who is sending them and why, and to what effect. Our database also provides a venue whereby researchers can investigate the extent to which complaints are being made within the boundaries of existing law as well or not.

We annotate the letters to help the public understand their legal language, and collect as many letters as possible to help the public understand the types of letters that are being sent and what searches are affected by them. By posting cease and desist notices, we are not authenticating them or making any judgment on the validity of the claims they raise. Chilling Effects receives a high volume of takedown demands, some of them with valid legal basis, some of them without, and many of them on the murky border. Posting of the notice does not indicate a judgment among these possibilities. We are not responsible in any way for either removing or restoring on-line content, we only document the notice-and-takedown process.

As part of our goals, we have been receiving and publishing DMCA takedown notices from Google for several years.
Google describes this process on its DMCA notifications page, http://www.google.com/dmca.html:
“Please note that a copy of each legal notice we receive is sent to a third-party partner for publication and annotation. As such, your letter (with your personal information removed) will be forwarded to Chilling Effects (http://www.chillingeffects.org) for publication. You can see an example of such a publication at http://www.chillingeffects.org/dmca512/notice.cgi?NoticeID=861. A link to your published letter will be displayed in Google’s search results in place of the removed content.”
Neither Google nor Chilling Effects is under any confidentiality obligation with respect to these notices

When we publish notices, we redact out all personal identifying information except for the name of the rightsholder making the request and the location of the material complained of. We include the latter as raw text only. Without the location of the complained-of material and the complainant, the notices are meaningless from a transparency perspective.

If you choose to officially retract your original complaint to Google, we will remove your notice from our public database upon receiving official notification from Google that you have done so.

      Sincerely,
      The Chilling Effects Team

      1. I subsequently emailed Google ([email protected]) and have requested that my original complaint be retracted and what, if any, steps I would need to take to make that happen, and forward a copy of this retraction to Chilling Effects. Google is usually pretty quick to respond, so I’m hoping to have this matter resolved within the next week. I will follow-up on what happens for anyone else who has to deal with this problem.

Needless to say, I’m dumping all non-secure social networking accounts. This whole fiasco has been a complete waste of my time.

  249. My pic is still up with the predators watch link, the link is dead, but I still don’t want that picture up. Someone previously said it could be a “cached” picture, but i don’t know what that is. Could someone give me the instructions about how to unchache a picture, or what I should do, thanks.

    1. I mean if you google my name, the picture still comes up with “predatorswatch.com” listed below. How do I get rid of this. the link is dead, but i don’t want my likeness associated with that website.

        1. If all else fails, the best way to rebuild your web reputation is to inundate search engines with lots of positive material that will [hopefully] mask this stuff from search results. How you go about doing this is up to you. But if you have a library of images that you don’t mind sharing online, start tagging each and every one of them with your name and make sure they are web accessible. Facebook and other social websites allow you to do this very easily.

    2. Re: Cache

Go into your browser’s settings and locate “Delete Web History” or something along those lines. It will offer you the option to delete cached data.

In Google’s Chrome browser, I see the following:

      Clear browsing history

      Clear download history

      Empty the cache

Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data

      Clear saved passwords

      Clear saved Autofill form data

      Clear data from hosted apps

Search “delete cache” for whichever browser you’re using. Alternatively, you may perform the Google search on a 3rd party PC (a computer you haven’t been looking yourself up with). If the image still comes up in Google, you know that Google’s index hasn’t been updated yet. They delete dead links given enough time.

Also: If you filed a complaint with Google to have your image removed because of copyright issues, they forward the report and image in question to ‘Chilling Effects’ (aptly titled, if I may say so) and they maintain a record of your request, along with the original image that was posted on PredatorsWatch website. If THAT image shows up in your Google Search, clicking on it will reveal it to be ‘Chilling Effects’ and NOT PredatorsWatch.

I am currently in the process of RETRACTING my original copyright compaint with Google so that Chilling Effects will remove the image and reference.

      Headache.

      1. Hi Annoyed. Thank you so much for that info. Unfortunately, it’s not a cache problem since it comes up on other comptuters. This is what happens. When I type my name, this link comes up(not this one exactly) this is not me, this is someone else who I’ve seen come up as well. But this is the message that comes up when you click on the link to my picture (i.e. a similar one).

Will google eventually take this down, or will I have to request for it to be taken down?

        thanks

here’s the similar link that comes up, how do I get this taken down? Please help.

        http://predatorswatch.com/browse/153140

          1. Personally, I wouldnt call that a dead link. The domain name is still alive, and the server that hosts it is still broadcasting. The files for the website are missing though, so there is nothing to view. I saw this back when everyone was running the LOIC, and it pretty much told me then that the LOIC thing wasnt doing anything. Having said that though, I dont think that your photo is still up on Google as a result of this. There just doesnt seem to be any web files there, so I dont know how Google could still be indexing your photo. My email address was off Google a few days after the site went down, but it didnt get wiped off of Yahoo until earlier this week. It could be that the servers around the world all need to refresh, but its hard to say. I never had a photo up on Google as far as Im aware… It was just my email address. The name on my email account is my initials… so I couldn’t search by name… only my email address.

          2. Hi, so i ran the Google removals request and the after two days the photo and that link finally have come done. I hope this is forever.

        1. The FBI started a criminal investigation. I did a financial analysis of the scam, 500 websites x 50 victims per day x 365 days x 100 dollars = 912,500,000 dollars per year. There were many victims.

  250. By the way, since this web address for predatorswatch is still active, and he obviously is still paying some company to host it, I dont think we can declare victory just yet. I have a feeling he’s just waiting for things to die down a little before the site goes back up…

    1. Why would a criminal try to launch a website with such a large following of individuals eager to counter-attack once more? Seems like a waste of time.

There are some great websites that allow you to setup an alert when a website comes back online. I recommend using that tool to avoid the hassle of constantly checking the website manually.

      1. There was never any attack. If you think that Loic thing was actually doing something, you’re fooling yourself. During the time that you guys were hot and heavy with the Loic program, I was seeing the exact same database error page that you’re seeing now. That server was very happy to process my request… there just weren’t any files to see. The bottom line is that the guy is still paying money to the host company. The link is not dead. Why would he still be paying a monthly fee if he was done? This guy has been a step ahead of everyone for the entire time. His data files were rumored to be located in freaking Antarctica. If you think this career criminal has given up because of your little Loic program, you haven’t learned anything from this experience.

  251. Annoyed – I too am trying to remove my copyright complaint with Google. I now wish I had not done it in the first place. Whenever I google my name a transparency report shows up with my name and the scam website link on it. I have contacted google by fax, email, and phone several times in order to rescind my complaint. Sometimes the report goes away for a few days but then comes back. Please keep us posted as to your progress with google and I will do the same.

  252. Also wanted to say that I did not use my real name when I got scammed. But I did use my real name when I did the copyright removal request. Therefore when you google my name, only the transparency report shows up. On the report it has the predatorswatch.com link, which obviously doesn’t work. But in any case I want the report gone as it somehow worked its way up to the number page in google’s search results.

  253. Here is the response I received from google. [email protected]

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

In order to rescind your notice, please reply to this email and provide us with the following information:

    1. Identify in sufficient detail the copyright notice you would like rescinded.

    2. Attach a copy of the original complaint you would like to rescind.

    3. Provide information reasonably sufficient to permit Google to contact you (email address is preferred).

    4. Include the following statement: “I swear, under penalty of perjury consistent with United States Code Title 17, Section 512, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”

    5. Sign the email (your digital signature is as legally binding as a physical signature).

    Regards,
    The Google Team

This will be the third time I have responded to this email with all the information they requested. Still no luck. Also cannot get thru to google via phone anymore, was on hold 3 hours today. Starting to feel like I am going in circles here. Thats my update.

  254. Finally Victory!! Google just responded to my rescind request. Here is what they said.

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.
We note that you have rescinded the notice with ID XXXXXXXXXX. The content on the following URLs should disappear within a couple of days, as we have contacted Chilling Effects on your behalf:
    http://www.chillingeffects.org/XXXXXXXXXXXX
    http://XXXXXXXX/transparencyreport/removals/copyright/owners/XXXXXXXXX

If the content associated with your rescinded notices continues to appear after a few days have passed, please reply to this email and we will investigate further.

    Regards,
    The Google Team

I think what did the trick this time was attaching a copy of the chilling effects website content to word a document and attaching it to my rescind request (see previous posts). Make sure to follow ALL instruction, give every detail you can, ID #’s, dates, etc, everything they request (again see previous posts). You DO NOT have to give a reason why you want the notice rescinded. This seems to have removed both the transparency report and the chilling effects report that were online. I am feeling confident that I am in the clear now with this ordeal. And what an ordeal it was. Not only was dealing with this scam hard enough, a few months into things, my father passed away. It was a lot to handle and it almost broke me. But I never gave up, always fight for what you believe in. There will always be scumbags in this world, but there will always be outnumbered by good people! You will reap what you sow. My best to all of you.

    1. Jack,

Thanks so much for updating us all on this issue. I will be sending an email to Google using your method. Nice to see them resolve the issue in such short time.

        1. Google takes a while to respond to emails in which you request that they rescind your DMCA notice. After an initial inquiry, it took approximately (4) weeks to get a response informing me how to legally retract my complaint. I expect to have a reply sometime around the 4th of July. Given that it took less than 24 hours for chillingeffects.org to respond to my email, I hope to have this matter 100% wrapped up in a few short weeks.

Have patience and try not to concern yourself too much. The truth is, none of us is all THAT interesting. It’s more of a problem if you’re dealing with this during a job hunt.

          1. Hello,

Thanks for the additional information provided.

We have asked Chilling Effects to unpublish the URL affiliated with your takedown notice as a courtesy, on your behalf; please note, though that Google does not operate Chilling Effects. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

            Regards,

            The Google Team

  255. my picture is back up if you search my name with the predatorswatch link, but then if you click on the link it goes to a database error message.

Also, the chillingeffects.org complaint has now ALSO been put on search results, so I followed the steps to rescind the request posted above.

How did my photo go down for a while and now has come back up? I had initially asked google to take down a “dead link” and in a couple of days the photo had disappeared. But it’s back up now!!??

  256. And WHY IN THE WORLD is the DMCA copyright notice the first thing that comes up when you google my name? For Christ’s sake….

    1. My info came back on Yahoo too… well the “dead link” to predatorswatch.com at least. I have a feeling that both search engines did a recent recrawl, and noticed that the predatorswatch.com address is still alive. While there isn’t a site to view, the address is still up and running. The guy is still paying the host server to keep this thing alive. Im sure he has reasons for it because he’s just throwing money down the toilet if he doesn’t intend on bringing the site back. That said… I dont think the crawlers were able to search the site since nothing is there, but maybe since the address is still alive, these search engines are keeping whatever is in their recent cache alive. I mean, if a legitimate website happens to crash right before Google crawls it, does Google delete it from its results? No it does not…. it takes a while and probably several recrawls before Google is satisfied that the site is gone for good. I speculate that this is what is happening here. While there is no site to crawl, the predatorswatch.com address is still alive, so Google just displays its last known scan of that address.

  257. my pic still keeps coming up whenever you type my name, i keep asking google to remove it, it goes down for a week and then comes back up!?

  258. Maybe this has been said before , but :

    1. Don’t use your real name on CL! always use a buffer email and initials or an alias. duh!

    2. Unless you are a politician or school teacher, nobody cares or will likely ever find your name on this site. This entire page of comments is like worrying about a homeless guy who yells “thief” at you as you leave a bank. Nobody cares, or takes it seriously, except you. They are preying on your paranoia to rake in hush money. IGNORE and this will fade like chain letters and nigerian prince emails.

    3. anyone whose career can actually be harmed by this should start a network of all concerned, colectively hire lawyers in US and whatever country this fucktard is in, and then file a class action against the domain with a clause including any future domain that allows this. although, honestly, a hitman would be cheaper and way faster.

  259. Wow what a lowlife to do something like this to people. I don’t use CL that often but when I do respond to an ad or post one, I always use a fictious name, and when I posted a picture my face is blurred or it’s a pic from the neck down. No clear face shots, unless we agree to meet in a public place in person. Guys you gotta be smart. It’s one thing for someone to try and out you to an employer, but it’s something entirely different when your photo is posted on a predators watch list. Once that happens for all intents and purposes you’re f***ed.
